Rani's jaw drops in surprise and she is rendered speechless. "The nerve of that girl!" she exclaims, referring to Mara's plan to blackmail her Master. "I wonder why she was assigned to Knight Hunter. Commander, any idea of why the two of them were paired together by Master Yoda?"

"I have no idea, General Cobain." admits Barquan.

"It makes me wonder just what Master Yoda was thinking..." Master Cobain trails off before dismissing that train of thought as irrelevant. "Oh well, it is of no concern now."

"Agreed. We need some info reguarding Mara's early years at the Jedi Temple." says Barquan.

Master Cobain grins conspiratorially. "Then you've come to the right Jedi, Commander," she quips.

"I'm glad to hear it. By the way, what do you see in General Hunter anyway?" says Barquan.

"Just want to see him squirm a bit, that's all," Master Cobain admits. "Even if he is an attractive wolf."

Master Cobain and Commander Barquan spend a pleasant hour discussing Mara's antics in the Jedi Temple, giving Commander Barquan plenty of dirt.

ooc: so, what kind of dirt do they have on Mara then?
ic: "So, when should we confront Mara?" asks Barquan.

OOC: I'm not sure. I wanted to leave it nebulous so that we have a lot of leeway in what Barquan says and in how Mara reacts.
IC: "Be patient, Commander," Master Cobain replies.

"Yes ma'am." says Barquan.

Meanwhile, on the bridge of the Glory of Alderaan, Matt and Admiral Ralter are discussing their return to Coruscant.
"Master Zey is not going to be happy about this," Matt says. "Not that I care about his opinion, of course."
"I'd be careful dealing with him," Admiral Ralter says. "He has a nasty reputation."
OOC: Marcus, should I knock off the Durge-bashing, or keep it up? Also, is Durge going to be a recurring enemy character?

OOC: Durge can show up time and again if you want. Though Anakin finally killed Durge a short time before ROTS by send's Durge's escape pod into a sun.
IC: Meanwhile Barquan and Master Cobain keep walking and decide to enter the Mess Hall.
"So, Rani... I've noticed that you don't act much like other Jedi, why is that?" says Barquan. "I mean you where flirting with another Jedi, even if it was to ruffle his fur."

OOC: And the humorous Durge-bashing?
Also, I'm not sure how to play Master Rani Cobain at the moment, would you mind taking over for this explanation?

ooc: sure you can bash Durge some more. And I can take Cobain off your hands for abit.
ic: "Well, Commander... you see, I'm what is referred to as a 'Grey Jedi'. I don't always follow the rules, but I don't use the Dark Side of the Force. Anyway, I DO find General Hunter to be a rather attractive specimen, if I do say so myself. But the only way either of us could be together would be to leave the order... and I don't even know the guy that well yet." says Rani, spilling her guts.

OOC: Thanks.
IC: "I saw the General use Force Lightning on Count Dooku," Barquan says about the fight inside the Tomb of Freedon Nadd. "Cool as a cucumber he deflects what Dooku sent his way, and returned it with an interest rate the Banking Clan would consider outrageous."

"I think the 'shock' of getting hit with Force Lightning, combined with the fact that the Tomb had been thoroughly looted some three thousand years ago, really made Dooku an unhappy camper on Dxun," Barquan says.
