After a short while the slug is removed from Horkon's arm and a bacta patch is put in place.
"The medics are ready to see you now, Matt." says Horkon.

"I hate dealing with medics," Matt mutters as he lets the medics do their checks.
"How long were you frozen in carbonite?" the ship's chief medical officer asks him.
"I've been told nearly three thousand years," Matt replies. "And don't ask me how I managed to survive because I don't know."

"So, anything wrong with me besides my having been encased in carbonite for the last few thousand years, doc?" Matt tries to lighten the situation with some humor.

"Nope. For some reason you have a clean bill of health." says the Chief Medic.

Matt decides to go check out the hanger bay, after asking directions from a member of the ship's crew, and loading a map of the ship into the datapad Anakin had given him on the way up to the ship from the surface of Korriban.

"Ah, you must be the Jedi that was on the surface of the planet..." says a hanger crewmember. "I have a gift for you. Come with me."
The hanger crew tiger leads Matt to a waiting Jedi Interceptor and an astromech droid named R4-Z16.
"This will be your fightercraft. And the droid here, R4-Z16 is to be assigned to you." says the tiger.

OOC: I trust the droid is an R4-P series.
IC: "Thanks," Matt says. "I suppose I should get checked out on this design."

OOC: Good.
IC: "So, what am I dealing with?" Matt asks, indicating he wants the mechanic to elaborate about the design.

"She is a Eta-2 Jedi Interceptor. One of the first of her kind." says the tiger.

"Okay, what're the basics about the fighter?" Matt asks, walking around the fighter. "Just from looking at her, I can tell she's likely to be very responsive."

"Two thrusters, locking s-foils, blaster cannons. This thing is built for speed and combat." says the tiger. "And that is pretty much all I know about it."

"Sounds good," Matt says, laying his hand along the side of the fighter, and getting a feeling that this fighter is all but meant for him.

OOC: I got the idea for what Matt did in my last post from an Area 88/Ace Combat 5 crossover.
IC: Matt decides to take his new fighter for a test drive. "Not bad," he says to himself as he puts the sleek little craft through her paces, including buzzing the Pride of the Republic's bridge.

"Who the heck is piloting that fighter!" barks Zack Starkiller on the bridge.
"*chuckles* Must be the new Jedi we brought aboard." says one crewmember.
