"What the kark? May as well fight, seeing as how I have nothing better to do with my time," Matt says, clapping Doz on his armored shoulder.

"I hear that Commander Barquan and the 997th Recon Battalion are in need of a new Jedi CO. Seeing as how Master Qciulot is KIA." said Commander Doz.

OOC: Do you have this clone commander's bio up in the Bio section, Marcus?

ooc: no, just made up the name. I will let you create a bio for him.

OOC: :Gulp: Okay, he's obviously a Jaguar and single, like the other clones. You've already laid out the unit. He's not going to obey Order 66 when it comes and neither is his unit. When (or if) I do come up with a quote for him, I'll let you know.

OOC: sounds good. And you need some more practice creating bios.

"Sounds good, Doz," Matt says, pushing himself erect off of the railing he'd been leaning on moments before.

"I'll go inform Master Zey that the position is now filled." says Doz
ooc: according to the Karen Travis Star Wars novels, Master Zey was pretty much in charge of the GAR roster.

OOC: In the first two Republic Commando novels, Delta and Omega Squads aren't overly fond of him. Bardan Jusik, his Padawan in the first book, OTOH, they come to consider one of their own.
IC: "Thanks, Doz," Matt says, heading for a restaurant Anakin had told him about on the trip down to the Temple. "Meet me at Dex's when you're done, lunch is on me."
OOC: Gah, need to check my spelling more closely.

"Alright." says Doz.
15 minutes later, Doz enters Dex's Diner.

Matt waves him over to where he's sitting with Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-wan Kenobi (who had only been introduced to Matt about five minutes ago). "Over here, Doz," he says.
OOC: What, Doz isn't bringing Barquan with him to meet his new boss?

"Thank you, Matt." says Doz. "I would have brought Commander Barquan with, but he and his battalion are currently doing drills."

OOC: That answers that.
"How's their morale look?" Matt asks, getting down to business. "I would imagine it's pretty shaky after watching their last CO get nailed."

"Their clonetroopers, Sir. They were bred to handle such things." says Commander Doz.

"So their morale is unaffected?" Matt asks, making sure he'd heard correctly. "They're either suppressing it, or they're tougher than the Mandalorians I dealt with three thousand years ago."

"We are tough, Sir." says Doz.

"Right, I suppose I'd better get over there and introduce myself to Commander Barquan," Matt says, paying for his and Doz's meals as he gets up.

"This stuff is better then the food at the barracks, and don't get me started on the field rations." says Doz.
