OOC: not yet. There is still so much to explore in the Dark Times era. And I'm going to introduce a new Mando'a character as well as their clan, well, ok, the clan I speak of isn't new to me, but I've never used them in RPs with you. My first character for this clan was Ka'Ren Tra'Viis, of Clan Tra'Viis. Clan Tra'Viis hails from Jango Fett's homeworld of Concord Dawn. Ka'Ren married an ex-Clone Commando who changed his appearance and took the name of Jag Sondar. The two lovers can be seen here: www.furaffinity.net/view/807077/IC: The planet Mandalore is once again united under a single warrior leader, the Mandalore. Prior to the final year of the Clone Wars, Mandalorian culture was pacifistic under the rule of Duchess Satine, since her death at the hands of Darth Maul, the people as a whole have finally returned to their proud warrior heritage. While most of Clan Tra'Viis is still on Concord Dawn, one of their members has left them behind after marrying a fellow Mandalorian of the same sex. The two males are currently taking jobs as a mercenary team for hire. The rest of the galaxy looks on the couple with disgust, but Mandalorians don't care about gender or sexuality within their culture. "I wish your sister Ka'Ren would respect our decission to marry, but she's been around aruetii for to long. Those outsiders have tainted her honor." says Artus Vathor. "I don't approve of you talking about my sister's honor like that Artus, and you know it." says Takan Tra'Viss Vathor. "But sadly, deep down I agree with you. Uhh... looks like our targets have arrived, just as the intel said. Come on, we best get to high ground and pick off those plastic boys one at a time." Meanwhile, Matt Hunter and his wife Rani area in the same marketplace as the Vathor couple, when a garrison of new Stormtroopers, officers and support crews arrive in the small hamlet. Rani had thought that Mandalore whole be left alone by the Empire after their recent defeat, but it appears she was wrong. As the Stormtroopers make their way through the market, they harrass the locals, thinking a show of force with bring the people to heel. The officers have bypassed the market and are now at the garrison entrance, leaving the Stormtroopers on patrol.

Ne'tra Kad's troops are also clearly in evidence and one could cut the tension in the air with a vibroknife. It's only a matter of time before Imperial troops start a shooting incident with the Mandalorian PMC, and the Mandalorian civilians know it as well as anybody. Matt and Rani are in full armor inspecting the detachment assigned to try and keep the peace, without much luck, thanks to the efforts of the Imperial garrison, in the village marketplace.
OOC: Who's side are these two members of Clan Tra'Viis on, Marcus? Ours, or the Empire's?

OOC: They are actually of Clan Vathor, Takan was of Clan Tra'Viis by birth, but after marrying Artus, he took on the clan name Vathor to honor his more assertive husband. Anyways, the Vathor couple has been hired by a local rebel cell to keep tabs on the Empire and if possible, harrass the the garrison through guerilla tactics (mostly hit and run attacks).
IC: "It's time!" states Artus over the secure commsystem channel between his and Takan's helmets. "For Mandalore!"
"For Mandalore!" responds Takan as he lowers his Verpine Shatter gun into firing position. He takes aim and fires, delivering a clean headshot to the lead Stormtrooper in the patrol, who was wearing a Lieutenant's pauldron.
Artus begins picking off Stormies with his sniper rifle as they break formation.

The sudden death of the Stormtrooper lieutenant does not go unnoticed by the Ne'tra Kad detachment, which springs into action to safeguard civilian lives, as well as the lives of their commanders.
"What the kriff is going on?" Flashback, the detachment commander, yells over the encrypted comms as he literally bodyslams his commander to the gound. "Who's firing at the Stormies?!"
"How the frak should I know, Flashback?!" Boil shouts back from where he's hunkered down behind a merchant's stall. "Ne'tra Kad, get the civilians out of here, NOW-NOW-NOW!"
Another trooper, called 'Hawkeye' by his comrades for his exceptional eyesight spots the minute muzzle flash of the Verpine Shatter gun. "SNIPER!" he calls out over the comms. "On the hill outside the village!"

"Disarm him! But leave him unharmed, then bring him to us." commands Rani.
"I'm on it!" shouts the ex-airborne clonetrooper known as 'Mohawk' as he activates his Z-6 Mitrinomon Transports jetpack and screaches into the sky. He is armed with an EMP grenade launcher.

"Flashback, get off," Matt growls, shoving Flashback off of him as he stands up. "Mohawk's already after the sniper."
"Oof..." Flashback grunts as he hits the ground. "That's a load off my mind," he says as he gets up and dusts off his armor. "Mohawk's an expert at bringing them in alive."

"That is why Rani sent him instead of anyone else." says Matt.
Takan spots a Mandalorian warrior in the air heading his way with a weapon aimed at him.
"Artus, looks like we've got company!" says Takan. "It's a Mandalorian, but why would a fellow son of Mandaore target us unless they worked for the Empire..."
"We can't take the chance that they are an Imperial lackey... take out his weapon and fall back!" commands Artus. "I'll cover your retreat!"
Takan takes aim and fires, sending a slug round right up the barrel of the EMP grenade launcher. Mowhack lets go of the weapon just in time. The slug ruptured the grenade that was in the chamber, causing the weapon to explode as it fell to earth.
Takan turns tail and reaches a tunnel network that he and Artus had constructed, which leads to their binker deep within the hill.

Meanwhile, back in the village, Matt is ready to start spitting nails at this latest incident. "So, where'd you see them heading, Mohawk?" he asks calmly (on the outside, anyways) over the commlink.
"Oddly enough, up towards the summit," Mohawk replies. "Is that important?"
Flashback answers him, "That means there may be a bunker inside that hill and I, for one, don't feel like trying to force my way in there to find out."

'Might I suggest something?" asks Rani. "Matt, what if you and I went up there, alone and unarmed except for our lightsabers? We show a sign of non-hostility and hope they agree to a truce."

"Need to find the front door first," Matt replies, "otherwise, good idea. Mohawk, find the front door, but do not engage."
"Yes, sir," Mohawk replies.

After an hour of scanning the hill top from the air, 'Mohawk' locates the entrance. He radios in the location.

"Flashback, ensure that the local Stormie Collective remains blind to what we're doing," Matt orders before he and Rani start off towards the hill.
"Yes, sir," Flashback replies.

The Vathor couple is monitoring the movement of the two approuching Jedi Mandalorians. As the Hunter couple gets closer, to the inner bunker bulkhead, a high powered sensor activates and scans them for weapons, the scan reveals their lightsabers. A voice comes over the comlink.
"Greetings, I am Artus Vathor, my husband and I constructed this bunker as a safeguard for the two of us." the voice says. "From those weapons you carry, you are either former Jedi in hiding, or you killed a pair of Jedi and took those as trophies."

"The former, along with founding the most famous Mandalorian PMC to currently exist, Ne'tra Kad," Matt replies, still annoyed at Takan and Artus' carelessness in opening fire on stormtroopers in the middle of a crowded market. (Matt would rather bushwack them out in the jungle where civilians couldn't be hurt and leave no trace they ever existed.)

"First, to chew you out for risking civilians!" Matt snaps, his presence as an experienced commander showing full force. "Now, open the frakkin' door, di'kut, in the name of Mandalore."
OOC: You'd think these two would know about Ne'tra Kad... and the numerous defeats it has handed the Empire, right?

OOC: Though the Vathor couple built the bunker some time ago, they have been off-world for awhile (since the Rise of the Empire to be exact), being guns of wire, theve being taking contracts on Imperials as far as most worlds in the Mid Rim.
IC: *sighs* "Very well." says the voice as the thick bulkhead retracts into the wall. "We were doing what our employer wanted, nothing more, nothing less."
Artus and Takan are waiting for them at the end of the corridor, helmet's removed. The Hunters' see that the two married lovers are male, and are rather uneast about the fact, being brought up on different ideals prior to becoming Mando'ade.

"Then your employer's an idiot," Rani snaps, while Matt stands silent, digesting the facts divulged.
"Maybe you two jokers ought to find a different employer, such as Ne'tra Kad," Matt says, extending a hand.
OOC: The Hunters see the choice as being none of their business so long as the two involved are happy, after all, the Jedi Order didn't bother with that (the whole 'no attachments' thing, you know).

OOC: So true.
IC: "I see your point..." says Artus. "Our employer is the leader of a rebel cell on Mandalore, the group calls themselves the 'Patriots of Mandalore'. If you want, I can arrange a meeting between you and their learned. He never revealed his true name to us, but his code name with 'Darasuum Cabur' (Eternal Protector)."

Matt simply facepalms at the mention of the Rebel organization. "Those idiots..." he mutters. "We're trying to keep the situation from blowing up in our frakkin' faces, and they're fanning the damned flames. Don't they realize that the Empire's just looking for an excuse to bring Mandalore under their direct control, probably as a fiefdom under Imperial Intelligence?"
