"So, yes or no on that meeting?" asks Artus.

"Yes," Matt growls.

"Alright then. And I suggest you bring backup, just as a precaution." Artus states.
Several hours later, Artus and Takan bring Matt, Rani and several of their best warriors to a warehouse that the 'Patriots of Mandalore' use as a meeting place.

OOC: You may rest assured that the best warriors in Ne'tra Kad are serving as their Commanders' escort.
IC: "I have to wonder about the sanity of these people," Flashback says to Barquan over a scrambled and encrypted comm channel.
"You're not the only one, Flashback," Barquan replies over the same channel.

"Who are these Mandalorian pretenders?" spouts 'Darasuum Cabur' to Artus.
"They are not pretenders!" retorts Artus. "They are former Jedi who have taken on our cultures ways of life."
"I'm sorry Artus, but you have crossed the line by bringing them here. You and your pathetic boy toy are not getting paid now." states 'Darasuum Cabur'.
"But we had a deal!" shouts Takan.
"Tough..." says 'Darasuum Cabur'.

That does it; nobody, but nobody insults Ne'tra Kad's leaders and founders, especially to their face, and in front of their troops. "I suggest you pay up, before Ne'tra Kad really gets mad," Barquan says calmly as the rest of the escort bring their weapons to the ready position. "Your first mistake was shooting in the middle of civilians, the second was to insult my Generals to my face. Now throw down them weapons, you aruetii."
OOC: I pictured Barquan kinda drawling that last sentence, like General Edmund Duke in Starcraft does.

The 'Patriots of Mandalore' don't do as suggested, instead they fire their jetpack mounted warheads at the warehouse ceiling above the Vathor couple and members of Ne'tra Kad . The warehouse starts to come down on the group. Takan isn't fast enough to dodge a large piece of metal support structure and is pinned under it. The shire weight buckles his torse armor, piercing his chest cavity.

Unfortunately for the so-called 'Patriots of Mandalore', they're not dealing with arrogant Imperial Stormtroopers, but the battle-hardened troops of Ne'tra Kad, many of whom were blooded in the Clone Wars, and are thus taken into custody with a minimum of fuss by an additional company of troops led by Mohawk.
"I warned you," Barquan says conversationally, "but you wouldn't listen to sweet reason."
Flashback simply takes one look at Takan's situation and calls out, "MEDIC! Man down!"

Artus rushes over to his injured husband and grips his hand.
"Don't die on me, damnit!" cries Artus.
Takan is still pinned under the heavy piece of debris and one of his lungs is punctured. Artus removes his lovers helmet first, and then his own. Some blood is coming out the right corner of Takan's mouth.

Doc, who had been part of the escort, rushes over and immediately takes charge of the situation, first sticking Takan with a heavy-duty painkiller then directing several other members of the escort who weren't doing anything else at that moment to help remove the debris from Takan's chest.

Rani uses the Force to lift the heaviest parts of the debris from atop Takan.
"You do whatever you need to in order to save my husband..." says Artus to Doc.
Artus lets his anger towards the leader of the rebel cell get the better of him. While the others are busy restoring order, Artus picks up a heavy plasma cannon and blasts 'Darasuum Cabur' through the torso, leaving a burn mark on the wall behind him.

Fortunately for 'Darasuum Cabur', the heavy armor he's wearing takes the blast.
Matt decides to intervene before Artus can take a second shot and uses the Force to gently remove the plasma cannon from Artus' grasp. "I can understand your anger, Artus," Matt says in a gentle tone. "But you can't let it control you or your actions."
Doc walks up to them, saying, "I think Takan'll live, but he'll be out of it for quite a while in a bacta tank."

"Alright..." says Artus. "Takan and I are of the same blood-type. So, I'd be more then willing to donate blood to save my mate."

Artus is still upset and volunteers to interrogate 'Darasuum Cabur' in non-lethal ways, by nobody said anything about not beating him.
Artus learns the 'Darasuum Cabur' was actually a double agent, planted by the Empire without the knowledge of his group. He was hired to create distrust in the Mandalorian mercs so the Empire could come in and 'save the day' for the citizens of Mandalore.

OOC: Remember, we're on Mandalore proper, Marcus, not Concord Dawn.
IC: The Empire's plans in that regard come apart due to the reputation of said Mercs, quick action by said Mercs, and the word of Mandalore.

IC: "So, what do we do with this aruetyc di'kut?" asks Artus.

"Hand him over to Mandalore for a proper trial," Matt replies. "We are not above the law, nor do we make the law. And no, we can't 'shoot him as he tries to escape' Artus, so don't ask."

"Alright. But I want to be there when they pass sentence." says Artus.
Meanwhile, the 'Patriots of Mandalore' have learned of their leaders treason. They then throw their lot in with Ne'tra Kad.

"You will be," Matt promises.
Matt is better than his word, Artus is one of the witnesses to the execution of 'Darasuum Cabur'.
