Jesic walks into a dark room and is shocked when she discovers the bodies of several long dead kaminoans.

Varick too, is momentarily surpised, but quickly collects himself. He observes the dead bodies to see if he can tell what it was that they died of.

Jesic: I'm guessing they died during the collapse of this place. But from what, I don't know.
As the vixen continues to walk, she triggers a trip-wire with her foot. Several rewired super battle droids left over from the Clone Wars spring up from panels in the floor and begin to open fire.
Jesic: Looks like the 'good' doctor has more hardware then everyone thought!

Varick takes cover behind some crates, and opens fire with his blaster. Despite having cover, a bolt hits him where his armor is not so strong, causing a painful burn on his flesh.
Varick: "Damn, that hurt!"

Jesic: I have an idea, but it will fry the helmets' sensors in the process!
The vixen throws a EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) Grenade into the group of droids. The explosive erupts, permanently taking out the battledroids. The feedback on her helmets HUD (Heads Up Display) temporarily blinds Jesic and she stumbles, landing on the hard metal floor.
Jesic: I... I... I can't see.

Varick immedeately rushes to aid Jesic. Though he assumes that it's the helmet that's the problem, he can't shake the fear that perhaps something more terrible had happened.

Jesic: I need you to remove the helmet for me.

Varick: "Sure thing."
Varick slowly, and carefully, removes Jesic's helmet, hoping that there was no damage done to her eyes.

Upon the removal of the helmet, Varick sees that Jesic's eye's are non-responsive.
Jesic: I... I think we should stay here for now and see if my sight returns...

Varick agrees with Jesic. While they wait to see if her sight returns, Varick inspects the wound he got in combat. The damage seems to be superficial, but it still hurts like hell.

The two bounty hunters stayed in the corridor the whole night. By dawn, Jesic's vision has returned to her.

Varick breathed a sigh of relief upon knowing that Jesic could see once more. But their task was far from over; they still needed to find the rouge Kaminoan.
Varick: "With luck, the rouge scientist will think that we're dead from his last trap, and his guard will be down. But with the luck that we've been having, I doubt that."

Jesic: Agreed... just need to recalibrate my helmet so it works again.
After the helmet is functional again, Jesic puts it back on and preps her weapons.

Varick checks over his weapons as well. Having passed his inspection, Varick and Jesic head out to find where the rouge scientist is hiding.
Varick: "Let's see, where would the best place for this scientist in hiding be? Probably a place where he could try to continue his work, if he wanted to. Now then, where exactly would that place be?"

Jesic: If the layout is anything like at Tipoca City, the cloning labs should be this way.
Jesic walks down the hall and comes to a t-junction.
Jesic: I say we go right...

Varick: "Since spliting up would be a bad idea, perhaps. Anything in particular that makes you think that we should go right?"

Varick: "Very well then, we will go right."
The two bounty hunters head off in that direction.
