OOC: Do we know for certain the attitude of the Empire regarding homosexuality? The reason I ask is that the Wookieepedia article regarding reproduction doesn't make homosexuality out to be a big deal in the Star Wars Universe.

OOC: Considering the Empire was rather sexist and xenophobic, it wouldn't be hard to believe in the Empire being homophobic as well.

The Imperial garrison comes up on the comm asking their cargo and destination. Kari trots out the agreed upon cover story about an anonymous cargo for a mountain research outpost. The garrison is satisfied and signs off in an oddly courteous manner, for Imperials.
OOC: Now that I think about it, wouldn't this be the Imperial military ordinance center for the Airon Sector that's destroyed in 2ABY?

A escort group of two X-Wings leads the freighter to the Rebel base. The Silverwind touches down in a hanger bay that is hidden behind an moving rock panel.

IC: "That's pretty clever, hiding the entrance like that," Kari remarks to Daxx as the ship flies down the passageway carved into the rocks and into the base's main hangar.

OOC: We're two months after the Battle of Yavin, Marcus, meaning that base hasn't been destroyed, yet.
IC: Kari proceeds to disembark and start looking for whoever was in charge of handling logistics. She doesn't have to look very far, as the supercargo comes up to her.

Kari quickly takes note of the look on Daxx's face and facepalms. "Great. Just great," she mutters while Commander Tevan simply chuckles.
"Maybe those two will straighten each other's flight paths out," she says with a chuckle, causing Kari to shoot her an exasperated glare. "Walk with me to my office, Captain," she says when she notices the younger woman's glare.

IC: "Lt. Vallen Tevan is the pilot your second in command was looking at. He is my older brother. All he wants is to command a fighter squadron. Maybe Daxx can take some of the stress off of him." says Garr Taven, hinting that her brother is gay.
Meanwhile Vallen took notice of Daxx and invites him to the officer's club and buys him a drink.
OOC: I see Kari and Daxx becoming members of the Rebellion and permanent personnel at Requiem Base.

"Good for Daxx," Kari says. She's more grumpy about the potential lost sleep Daxx's new relationship is going to cause her then Daxx finding someone who swung the same way he did.

"We need good pilots of any kind. If you are willing to stay on as supply couriers for us, we will get you and your second your own quarters here on the base." informs Garr Tevan. "And I can have your quarters as far from Daxx' quarters as you want. By the way, you ever fly a snubfighter?"
Meanwhile Daxx and Vallen are getting to know each other rather well in a booth at the Officer's Club.

OOC: I know from the Star Wars RPG books from which I got the title of the RP that the Rebellion normally doesn't move this fast. Captain Solo and his ship were the exception to the rule. Also, more to the point, Kari's had absolutely no female guidance whatsoever, and is thus a major tomboy with very little idea of what it means to be a woman (except for That Time of The Month, which was partially explained to her by a dancer in Jorba's court)... if we're going to have the Rebellion move this fast, then it's because the Commander's maternal instincts are telling her to do this.
