OOC: For what? IIRC, any checks done on the station would be CorSec's responsibility. That said, how homophobic is the Empire (and by extension the Rebellion)?

OOC: That's certainly possible. That said, however, it's been almost 24 hours since the late, unlamented General got his just desserts so I seriously doubt either character has a bounty on their heads. I suppose James might have one for going AWOL like he has...
Or it might just be easier on Valentinian's wallet...

OOC: Easier on the wallet. The excuse being that bringing Kari along has meant that certain preplanned courses of action have had to be altered on the fly... which is not easy and makes things more expensive.
IC: "It's not like I have a bounty on my head or anything, and by all accounts CorSec isn't interested in catching escaped slaves," Kari says conversationally before closing the door to the bedroom she's claimed for herself.

Kari nearly trips over him the next morning. "Ack!" she squeaks. "What the kriff do you think you're doing on the floor in front of my room?"
OOC: I'm assuming Valentinian left her something she could use as pajamas and a change of clothes.

"You're crazy," Kari pronounces as she walks into the suite's refresher. "By the way, how is your friend going to get us off the station and to the Rebellion?" she asks before closing the door to the refresher. In the refresher, Kari stands in front of the mirror and examines herself, noting the white strip of skin on her neck where her collar had been.
OOC: By necessity this part of the RP will be short so that we can move along to our characters actually joining the Rebellion.
