Maz Kanata’s Castle, Takodana, 35 Years After the Battle of Endor
Grand Master Matt Hunter sits in a quiet nook in Maz Kanata’s castle, drinking from a mug of lomin ale as he watches the rest of the patrons of the castle with his adopted daughter, Kari, by his side as his apprentice.
“So, why are we here, buir?” the petite red headed serval female asks irritably.

Kari sees Han Solo, Chewbacca, Finn, BB-8, and Rey enter the castle. The Force is literally rolling off of Rey. “Buir, don’t look now, but Ba’vodu Han’s entered the building with a girl about my age from whom the Force is literally rolling,” she says.
OOC: Yes, Kari views Han as a favorite uncle. Also, not mentioned IC, but present are Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger from Rebels. Ezra’s a Jedi Knight and Sabine’s a demolitions expert for Ne’tra Kad. And, yes, they’re together (I assume that they got married around the time of the Battle of Jakku).

Matt facepalms. “What, precisely, where you carrying, Han?” he asks as Maz snickers. Han’s business practices are well known to both the old warrior and the really old rogue. “And who’d you piss off in the process?”

Matt reads Han like a book, without using the Force. “So, most likely illegal zoological specimens,” he says.
“He said he was hauling a trio of rathtars, sir, and the ship was boarded by the Guavian Death Gang,” says Finn, seemingly oblivious to Han’s pained expression. “We left them to deal with each other and hightailed it aboard the Millennium Falcon.”

Before Matt has the chance to answer, the group having walked outside in the meantime, the First Order uses Starkiller Base to destroy the Hosnian System and the New Republic fleet. “Buy’cese!” he snaps to Kari, Sabine, and Ezra as the distant explosion fades in the skies of Takodana. “I’m sure we’re going to have unfriendly company very soon now. Stand ready! Ib’tuur jatne tuur ash’ad kyr’amur!”
“Whatever that means, I like it!” Finn responds.
“It means ‘It is a good day for someone else to die’, son,” Matt tells the young panther with a chuckle.

By this point, Ne’tra Kad’s field forces are no longer former clone troopers, because they’re, those who are still alive, too old to take the field. The ex-clone troopers handle a lot of the classroom teaching that is required to make an army.
