I'd advise against using 'unknown' in the biography. This information is out of character, and thus not subject to common knowledge where such knowledge is unreasonable. Including a location and the names of his parents would only serve to increase our understanding of the character.
Secondly, his education seems way out of whack. The background has him rising to the rank of Jedi Knight, so he obviously was trained in those arts. Further, he likely had someone to teach him the Dark Side so as to lead to his fall from the light. Segregate and detail the information; it can only help to make the character more clear.
Thirdly, I was under the impression that only Jedi Masters were allowed to train padawans. If you have reputable material to contrary, please cite.
Fourthly, how did he escape the purge and Palpatine's notice, or does the character exist prior to the Great Purge?
Fifthly, how does he become a Sith Lord? That title, since the days of the Old Republic, was granted on but a single Sith whom was the most powerful of them all (Exar Kun, Darth Malak, etc). Further, assuming he could attain such power without drawing the notice of the Jedi, Vader, and Palpatine, why would he yield it without being beaten and killed by another Sith?
To answer your unsurity, I can recall seeing somewhere the ability manipulate the Force such that fire, or a very similar effect, is created. Something to the opposite of the ability to halt a bolt of plasma with one's paw.

Relax, he wasn't attacking you, Darth Terror, he was pointing out that according to official Star Wars standards, your character has some minor problems right now. And if Marcus and I can handle him pointing out the problems with our characters so that we may fix those problems, so should you. We are moderators after all; we should be setting a sterling example to others.

I guess, but Terror is just a quick job, I know there are odd ends about him, but I don't care.
