If it's one thing I like to do, it's meddling with game systems. I bought a paper and pencil game a few months ago called Victory By Any Means (VBAM). It's about galactic conquest. Since I didn't like the rules it came with, I modified them a bit.
I also like Star Wars Rebellion, but feel that it was a bit too simplified. It didn't make much sense either, as planetary assets were randomized, with no thought put in for what actually exists in the Star Wars Universe.
I have decided to combine my homebrew VBAM rules with Star Wars Rebellion in order to make an excellent paper and pencil game. I'm still working things out quite a bit, but I think I can manage this project.
