The Vehicle Armored Carrier (or VAC) was a large dropship that was used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. It was used for deploying the CIS attack vehicles into battle. It was known to be used in the First and Second Battle of Rhen Var, the Battle of Raxus Prime and the Battle of Thule. Because of the lack of weapons They were easy targets for Republic Gunships.After the Battle of Thule the VACs were either scrapped or a few were modified with twin nose laser cannons.
