Not sure if you guys knew, but if you have the new Star Wars RTS game, Empire at War, there is a way to give your ships custom names in space combat! For those of you that don't know how, here's the run down:
1. Go to your Lucasarts folder
2. Click on Game Data
3. Click on Data
4. Once inside Data, you'll find a medley of text files, named after ships you can build in space combat games, click on the one you want to add a custom name to
5. Inside the file, you'll see the names generated for ships of that class alphabetically.
6. Type the name you'd like a ship in that catagory to use, and place it in the file in the spot you'd like it to appear in the game. (The names are built in order listed in the file in game mode. So if the name "Deaths Head" is the first on the list of Star Destroyer names, the first star destroyer will be named Deaths Head. If it is the 4th name down on the list, it will be attached to the 4th Star Destroyer you build, and so on.)
7. Make your changes, Save the file, and start the game. Your ships will now use the names you put in the list!
Name your ships after real life ones, ones from Star Wars not mentioned, or other Sci Fi movies, games, or stories! Here are some suggestions:
Pillar of Autumn (Halo)
In Amber Clad (Halo)
Harry S. Truman (Real Life)
HMS Belfast (Real Life)
Galactica (Battlestar Galactica)
Enterprise (Star Trek)
or some your quite familar with from the forums...

Calamarian Queen
Ackbar's Honor
New Holstice
Hope of the New Republic
