What really amazes me in a not good way in Star Wars is the weird way they classify ship types and name ship types. For example, an Assault FRIGATE is made from a Dreadnaught HEAVY CRUISER; clear examples of an odd system of classification.
The Assault Frigate should be called an Assault Cruiser, if not, than an Assault Dreadnaught, and the Dreadnaught should be a dreadnaught, not a heavy cruiser.

You've got to keep in mind, Cyberpal, that the Imperator-series did not exist at the time of the Rendili Dreadnought's launching. Since most ships are designated by armament and duty, it was a heavy cruiser at its launch. However, since the cruiser role was taken up by the ISDs and VSDs, renaming the refitted model a frigate makes sense.
