Enterprise D: "This is the Enterprise, requesting permission to enter, Spacedock."
Spacedock:"But, uh, you're in a tractor beam...."
Ent.D:"Huh? Oh, no, that's the Enterprise. The Enterprise is requesting permission, not the Enterprise."
SD:"Wait.... So, the Enterprise is requesting permission to enter, but the Enterprise is not?"
Ent.D:"No, the Enterprise is NOT requesting permission, the Enterprise is!"
SD:"So, you don't want to dock, but you do?"
Ent.D:"No, we, the Enterprise, are towing the Enterprise, and requesting permission to enter!"
SD:"So, uh, you're towing yourself in and asking permission to enter, Enterprise?"
Ent.D:"Ye--No, umm.... I mean.... AHHHHHH!"
