An advancement over the Lesser Force Shield power, Greater Force Shield functions in a similar manner, though with two powerful side effects. In addition to providing more protection from physical damage, any energy attacks, such as blaster fire, whose damage is absorbed completely by the shield will "bounce" off the shield in a random direction, as though striking against a magnetically-sealed door. Additionally, any time the Greater Force Shield power completely absorbs any damage from Force Lightning, the shield will retain some of the electrical charge.
Sense Difficulty: Moderate
Alter Difficulty: Very Difficult
Required Powers: Absorb/dissipate energy, concentration, lesser Force shield, magnify senses, telekinesis.
This power can be kept up.
Effect: This power allows a Force user to surround her body with a Force-generated shield. The shield can be used to repel energy and physical matter away from the user's body, down to the molecular level. The shield acts as STR+3D armor to all energy and physical attacks made against the user, including nondirectional attacks such as gas clouds and grenade blasts. This shield is not only stronger than the lesser Force shield power, it also has two semi-unique added effects. For one, any energy attacks, such as blaster fire, whose damage is absorbed completely by the shield will "bounce" off the shield in a random direction (use the grenade deviation chart), as though striking against a magnetically-sealed door. Additionally, any time the greater Force shield power completely absorbs any damage from Force lightning, the shield will retain some of the electrical charge, inflicting 3D electrical damage against anyone coming into contact with the shield for the next 2 rounds.
