Mortichro is an ancient art known only to a small number of Force users that can be potentially fatal to even the most vigorous person. The power takes control of the vital functions of a person and slows them eventually, paralyzing them and killing them after a few moments. The power is forbidden Jedi knowledge, only known to a very few in the Order at a time.
Control Difficulty: Moderate
Alter Difficulty: Very Difficult
Required Powers: Control Another's Pain, Place Another in Hibernation Trance
This power can be kept up.
Effect: When using this power, a Force user can slow down the vital functions of a being, to the point of death. When this power is initiated, it reduces a character's health by one health level each round it is used. The character may make an opposed Strength roll (vs. the user's Alter Roll) to prevent the power from being initiated. If the target is conscious and unqilling, he gets a +5 bonus to his Strength roll to resist. Physical contact must be maintained for the duration of the power's use. Using the power requires that the character make no other action during the round(s) it is being used.
