Some Force Adepts and Jedi learn to use the Force to alter the trajectory of incoming projectiles, sending them off course slightly to impact behind them. Jedi Master Ikrit used this power to deflect the blaster bolts fired by the Peace Brigade on Yavin 4, however use of the power is taxing and ultimately caused him to fall in battle.
You can draw upon the Force to cause blaster bolts and other projectiles to deflect away from their target. Prerequisites: Force-sensitive, Alter, Force level 8+ Benefit: When this power is manifested, a Force user may cause projectiles such as blaster bolts, bullets, rocks, etc. to deflect harmlessly away from their target. This power can only be manifested around the user, but any other characters within a 2 meter radius are protected from projectiles in a similar manner. As the projectile approaches the radius of the power, the course of the object seems to bend such that the trajectory is now slightly off from its original aim. In game terms, this power gives a +10 bonus to the character's defense against projectiles only, for up to as many projectiles as half the user's Force level. For example, a 16th level Force Adept gains a +10 Defense bonus against 8 projectiles for this round. Use of this power is a full-round action, and requires 4 VP for each round of use.
