I was wondering if any of you had ideas of how your furry SW charaters would become one with the force? For those of you who have read the New Jedi Order novels, I figured that Marcus would have died in a heroic last stand against the Yuuzhan Vong, leaving Master Vecto to take care of Ivanova and Raptor Squadron while Ivanova would live to a nice old age and pass in her sleep.

Varick Hadar would die with the enemy's heart in his hand, so to speak. I figure that he would die fighting the Yuuzhan Vong in an epic battle.

I never was a big fan of the NJO arc; I don't know that much about the naval battles. Still... *hrms*
For Commodore Vasage, the civil war never truly ended. IF he survived through to the armistice and NJO era (under Pellaeon, naturally), then he might suck vacuumn during the Vong's push into the Remenant territory. Gunny Jondd would likely have retired by then and be making a living as a civillian in the Remenant, so he'd likely still survive. Might be called back to serve as a Storm Commando again, though; I'm not certain. Peace Bridage would likely have gotten their paws on Muramin, so I think she'd be found on the wrong end of a Vong knife. Dunno if Patel would have been Skipper bait or not, either.

Aww!!! That's very touching, Marcus, and it is an honor to be such an important part of your character's lives! I, surprisingly, have never read the NJO novels.... Mostly, I've kept to my own ideas about how life progresses in that galaxy so far, far away, but there are two books that I accept as fact: Shadows of the Empire and Tatoine Ghost.... Both are fabulous books.... As to Nik's death, I haven't really decided yet.... I suppose that he's sorta' immortal in my eyes. Not officially, no, I know he's going to die sometime.... I just haven't decided how.

Heheh, Steedo is on the edge of death half they time anyway... If he doesn't get killed by a blaster, his rattletrap ship will fail in deep space and he'll have the wonderful choice of suffocation or take the quick way and smother.
Heck my main character at the other board, got killed by his own daughter. Well, it was sort of suicide, he forced her to kill him, even though he was perfectly healthy at the time.
I'm terrible with my characters, especially my main ones. I think it was Kurt Vonnegut who advises writers to abuse their characters. The more abuse you lump on your character the more they have to adapt and grow. And that is what makes the most interesting stories, for me at least.

Well, Savage is a loyal imperial, but he is loyal mostly to the Emperor and not the system. I think he becomes a little diloushional after his death at endor and begins to question the strength of the system as warlords tear the empire apart. He treads on, and gets a moral boost from the success of Grand Admiral Thrawn, but after his death, he thinks the empire is truly doomed and goes into quiet retirement on his home planet a few years later. I'm guessing he'll be one of the Imperial officers who just die of old age...

Matt would go down fighting the Vong in a heroic last stand, holding the line as civilians evacuate, while loudly singing Vode An. The pile of Vong bodies surrounding his corpse would be quite impressive (ie. legendary).
Admiral Hunter would ride his flagship, the Executor-class Super Star Destroyer Warrior, to her demise in the Vong War on a heroic death ride that would inspire generations of naval officers and history buffs to come (and cement his reputation among Vong naval commanders as a boogey man at the very least).
As for the various iterations of Kari Hunter, I actually haven’t thought about it...
