Name: Starkiller's Pride
Class: Modified MC80a Star Cruiser
Manufacturer: Mon Calamari Shipyards
Size (meters): 1,200
Crew Capacity: 5,402
Troop Capacity: 1,200
Sublight Speed: 10 MGLT
Hyperdrive Speed: Class 1
Shield Rating: 3,840 SBD
Hull Rating: 2,128 RU
Laser Batteries: 10 Laser Batteries
Turbolaser Batteries: 48 Turbolaser Batteries
Ion Cannon Batteries: 20 Ion Cannon Batteries
Tractor Beam Emplacements: 10
Additional Information: The MC80a carries more starfighter squadrons than its predecessor, the MC80. Although very similar in performance, the MC80a’s primary difference from the MC80 is the extended wings that shape the hull. These vessels were the first non-Imperial warships in the galaxy that could actually challenge an Imperial-class Star Destroyer. The abundance of multiple backup systems requires constant maintenance to keep these vessels at top efficiency. The advantage of these redundant systems, however, is that Mon Calamari Cruisers do not cripple easily and thus make this class of ships difficult to defeat.
Additional Information: The modified MC80a Starkiller’s Pride is the flagship of Clone Wars veteran, General Marcus Starkiller and is also home to Raptor Squadron, which is part of the Jedi Defender Flight group. Jedi Defender Flight consists of several squadrons:
Raptor Squadron (Starkiller’s squadron)-- X-wings
Winged Vixen Squadron (all female squadron)-- T-71 Assault Gunships
Krayt Dragon Squadron-- T-73 Fire Breathers
Blazing Fist Squadron-- T-75 Hammerhead Interceptors
Flying Bantha Squadron-- Bantha-class troop transports
Blue Squadron-- B-wings
Green Lightning Squadron-- A-wings
Grey Squadron-- Y-wings
Bothan Squadron-- Incom I-wings
In order to accommodate the larger amount of fighters stationed aboard, Rebel technicians gutted out several of the cargo bays and retrofitted them into extra hanger bays. The techs then installed four extra tractor beam emplacements to meet the needs of the new bays. Several laser battery emplacements were added to the structure of the vessel to increase it’s overall firepower. The combat training facility on Deck B has been converted into somewhat of a Jedi training area at the request of Jedi Master Nik Vecto. While not in combat, Nik can be found here training the Starkiller couple and several other Force-sensitive rebels the ways of the Force. On Deck E, there is the Officer’s Club and Pilot Lounge. Also on this deck is the quarters for the pilots. Deck F still has the VR training center, which is in almost constant use by Howlrunner Company under the command of Captain Leir Vis. The Howlrunner’s or ‘Howlers’ as the flyboys call them are the first Sniper unit assembled aboard the Starkiller’s Pride, and they have proven themselves on many occasions.
