Too Much, Too Soon

Relax, I'm not talking about stress this time; I'm talking about my imagination and creativity.

I am being flooded with too many ideas for what should be my first role-playing game to design. I really wish that I could pick a genre and stick with it, but that's proving to be too difficult. I was really hoping to get something done by the time classes begin again, but I doubt that that will happen.

Exactly was are my ideas? Well, you all know about my brain child I've been talking about in a previous blog, but also, I am working on trying to remake several Palladium Books products (for personal use, of course), because, let's face it, PB might have quite an imagination, but their rules are just plain ineffective nonsense. I've got ideas for about four of their products currently out.

When I get home from my trip, I will be creating with a vengence!

And actually, I do think that I had some luck already, for I believe that I have finalized the basic core rules, something that had evaded me for over two years. After I finish that, all that's left to do is (try) to choose a genre, which I believe I might actually do soon.

If you're having trouble picking a genere, why not just write up some generic rules and then make supplementals for each genere you're thinking of? More time-consuming and more "go off in every direction"-ish, but... It might not hurt to at least get the ideas down, ne?
