I felt that I should create a war log for what happens in my Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday Armageddon campaign. I am currently playing as the Germans, but the neat thing about the game is that you can play as ANY nation that existed at the time, including nations like Luxembourg, Switzerland, Liberia, and Afghanistan (not that you should, but you could). Anyways, the campaign I had started starts in 1936, and will last until 1964. Let's see how well I can do.
Since it was my first time playing on the Normal difficulty, I noticed that I had to be a lot more careful with how I spend my war industry. I don't have that much industry to produce things yet, so I will spend it mostly on producing Infantry divisions and such. I did not meet my expectations for army size by 1937, but I still have two more years to expand it beofre going to war.
After I developed the ability to produce Tier Three model Carriers, I decided to build three of them, which will be completed in late 1938. I am also researching Tier Four model carriers and hope to have one such carrier done by Summer 1939.
An interesting development had happened, and that was the defeat of Nationalist Spain by Republican Spain. In the end, thought it was a minor defeat for me, it might be a blessing, because now I can eventually conquer Spain, opening the doors to Gibraltar, the Mediterranean, and Western Africa.
