What Star Trek race, be it official canon or not, is your favorite race?
My favorite race are the Klingons; but it would be the Lyrans, if those cats didn't eat other people or commit genocide against another cool race, the Carnivons, which I also like. The Klingons are (obviously) canon, where as the Lyrans and Carnivon are from Star Fleet Battles, which is, in my opinion, better than official Star Trek canon; curse you people who defile the image that Roddenberry had, curse you.

Carnivons? *blink* I've never heard of them... Did they loose the license to use K'zinti? I know SFC had to rename the K'zinti 'Mirak' due to licensing. Niven was appearently pissed at the way his K'zin were portrayyed in the animated series that he withdrew all rights.
Of course Klingons have done more than their fair shar of genocide and enslaving antire speces too. Tribbles and Khinshaya all killed. Who knows how many raced they've enslaved.

There was an animated series for Star Trek? I never heard of that until now.
The Carnivons were technically a canine-looking feline race that inhabited the Northwest portion of the SFB map, before being destroyed by the "combined" forces of the Lyrans and Kzinti. Why it was decided to make them feline rather than canine is unknown to me, especially since the act like canines and have ships classes named after canines as well.
I have little idea regarding the current state of the Kzinti license in Star Trek.
