Alright, this is my FC blog; I'll write about the driving part later. Also, it's the same as on my dA page 'cept for the shouting because I doubt either would track me here for it. ^__^
~Day One: Thursday~
Got into San Jose, CA, about 0300 in the morning and slept well into the afternoon. Ate 'lunch' at a Burger King just outside the hotel room, then went to pick up the badges. Waited in line for about 15 minutes while that was all taken care of, then found where the games were at. Sadly, none of the organized ones were Ironclaw, but they had some interesting ones there none-the-less. Most of the dealer stuff and such weren't set up yet, so I helped out with character creation for the Ironclaw we'd be doing later, and ran a demo game.
~Day Two: Friday~
I spent much of Friday in the same way: preparing for the full Ironclaw game. More character sheets were done, talking with others who were playing in the game, and scoping out the art show. Lots of pretty art, but I didn't get any like I did last time. I did see a few pieces I already had, though.
~Day Three: Saturday~
Finally found the Sanguine booth on Saturday, and scoped out the rest of the dealer's room as well. Quite a lot of yummy stuffs, and I'm not talking about pr0n, either. Sadly, our Ironclaw DM had to step out that night, which left up without one at all, and that was too bad. We really enjoyed playing, and the story was due to get interesting. *sigh* Oh well.
Instead, I did get to have a good meal (relatively, as it was hotel fare) and spend some time with a folf I met there. Super-cute guy, too. A shame he had to leave as soon as he did, methinks. I'd have liked to get to know him more. Who knows, he may have hit five-hundred 'fore the next evening was spent. It was going that way (and he knows what I mean, too).
I think Az also actually gave to me a b-day pic this day, I can't clearly recall... I spent too much time drooling over the thing. It was hawtter than, well... Something really hawt. MAYBE I'll find somewhere to post it, or scan it and send it to him so he can and give y'all the link. Maybe, mind you... It might scar some of ye beyond all hope...
~Day Four: Sunday~
Played a 'new' game called Dragonstorm on Sunday. Interesting, with a heavy furry influence. My character was a... *fumbles around for sheet* Ah, yes, here it is... She was a "Das Karr Dragon" character, meaning she was a vixen who could turn into a dragon (I had thee forms for her) and used a pretty mean bow. It's a real shame the gaming shops around here don't have anything on it, or I'd have something new to spend my monies on (saving up for MWFF currently, maybe even another trip to San Jose for next FC).
Managed to cajole another DM into letting me into his Ironclaw game, but had to unfortunately leave due to a lack of sleep. Sleep is for the weak, usually, and I was pretty weak by then.
Actually bought swag this day, including an art CD by Frank Gembeck, Jr. and a pair of T-shirts for my sister ("Dragons do it in the air" and "Beware of inner dragon" they read). Also got a shirt for myself (says "Foxy" and has fox on it), which I will wear in public.
Said goodbyes to some people that were leaving, which hurt, but I managed to survive. Sometimes, I just wish I could put people into bottles and only let them out when I want to see them.
~Day Five: Monday~
Didn't do much Monday. Spent a bit of time at the con, where I BSed with some artists (I think I few I stalk online were there) and just shot the shit with people. Took a few to the bus station 'cause I felt like being nice and it was a nice thing to do, and danced with some people in suits while waiting for the travelers.
~Misc Stuff~
I picked up all three Heat volumes, which are full of yummy (and naughty) bits, and two novels as well. Finished all of them by now. They were great reading. Still haven't made my way through all of Mr. Gembeck's art CD, and I doubt I'll get done anytime soon. *giggles*
