The Wookies, while technologicaly able, have been making hand to hand weapons for centuries. The Kayshadak is a 1.5 meter long axe with a titanium ball on the bottom. The shaft is made from one of the many hardwood trees, which are abundant on the planet Kashyyyk. The Kayshadak is made mostly by highly skilled Wookie craftsmen, and young hunters who must craft the weapon as a coming of age cerimony. The Kayshadak is often carried offworld by Wookies who would rather cling to their strength than rely on blasters to protect them. It is not rare to find a Wookie in a bar on some outer rim world with a Kayshadak straped to his back.
