Star Wars needs to be fixed, and I don't mean the spay/neuter your pet sort of way. Don't get me wrong, Star Wars is an awesome genre in the world of Sci-Fi, but there are problems with it, namely one BIG one. That problem is that is was basically meant for children, particularly young children, and not adults. Even E3 was childish, despite the "PG-13" rating, which was, in my opinion, given that rating because of anal-retentive sissies. This is not what I want to think of when I think of Star Wars. I want serious action. If it were up to me, I would have made the movies R-rated and directed by the guy who did Gladiator. I don't want teddy bear-ish midgets using sticks and stones to beat up Stormtroopers, I want wookies tearing arms out of sockets and blowing **** up with their bowcasters! Therefore, I suggest we start a little project, where we would discuss how the movies SHOULD have been done, and work our way up from there. Maybe even create a new message board forum if there's enough interest, but let's not splurge just yet, shall we?
So then, any interest, any interest at all?

Okay, question the first: Episode I, what changes to make? I say that Jar Jar needs a revamping into a serious character. Maybe he was with a Gungan merchant business that was fleeing from a Naboo city, and he got seperated in the confusion? Oh, and he's not a jinx either. Oh, and how about actually seeing battles between the Naboo and the battle droids?

Oh, and does anyone know of any place online where I can read the scripts for the Star Wars movies, so can see what needs "improving?" |
