ooc: You sure you want to do that? Won't doing that prevent curculation to her arm?
Varick: Wait, I've got some general purpose anti-toxin. Hopefully it will work.
ooc: There are such things as portable general purpose anti-toxin in Star Wars, right?

ooc: yes there is such a thing.
ic: Jesic: Alright... get it out.

Varick gets out the general anti-toxin and gives it to Jesic.

Varick: If my thinking is correct, the Imperials should be looking for the defector as well. Prewitt can scan for heavily coded messages, which are likely to be Imperial, and tell us where they are coming from. That should lead us to the defector.

Varick contacts Prewitt and tells him of his plan. The droid immedeately begins scanning for heavily coded messages. Suprisingly, the droid detects a couple such transmissions in the local area. One is coming from the area of the city housing the Imperial Embassy, being directed at an area a few dozen kilometers outside of the city. Though heavily coded, it seems like the majority of the messages are military in nature.
Varick: "That must be where the defector is located, and it sounds like the Imperials found his location. Question is, how do we get there without attracting too much attention to ourselves?"

Varick: "I think the best way to get there is by speeder. We should head back to the ship and get ours out."
ooc: Some models can hold two people, right? That would prove useful in getting the defector out of Imperial hands.

ooc: yes some can, while others can hold six or more people.
ic: Jesic: Alright.

The two head back to the Baback Cybele, get their speeders, and head off towards the targeted area.
Prewitt: "Good luck to the both of you."

The speeder is stopped by a Imperial Patrol just outside of the local garrison.

The stormtrooper, a Gunnery Sergeant in the Corps, motioned for the speeder to come to a halt, the checkpoint's anti-vehicle emplacement obviously trained on the vehicle. The canid frowned as several of the other troopers looked towards the vehicle.
He waited for the vehicle to stop before approaching. In a voice that sounded tired and annoyed, neither emotion given any help by the voicemitter, he spoke. "<click> Hold it. This area is off limits. I need to see your identification. <click>"

Varick: "We are merely a former private security team now retired and on vacation. We were not aware that this area was off-limits. Could you point us to a direction that we can take? And as for why we are armored, well, let's just say that old habits are hard to break."

The Gunny Sergeant was not amused by the excuse, and he had not noticed the additional armor plating yet. Rolling his eyes under the helm, he signalled for one of his subordinates to approach. Naturally, the other stormtrooper had his E-11 locked, cocked, and ready to rock.
"<click> Identification, Sir, if you please, or I will be forced to place you under arrest, <click>" the Sarge said more firmly. Naturally, the Sarge already knew to whom he was speaking, provided they were wanted for any reason. The MFTAS of his helmed had sent a short video screen back to the HQ central computer through the proper channels and recieved a reply as to a comparison.

ooc: Sorry for the lag. The previous few posts caught me completely off guard; these particular stormtroopers seem to be smarter than the average stormtrooper. Additionally, lately, I haven't been in the best of moods and haven't been feeling invigorated to do stuff.
ic: Varick presents to the Imperial his and Jesic's "identification" papers. Unbeknownst to the Imperials (though I have a hunch they'll soon find out), the papers contain cleaverly disguised false information.

(( You will find that stormtroopers, when I play them, tend to be of the batch that took the Tantive or were cloned with the one that took out R2-D2 in RotJ. In any case, they are not the incompotent ilk that commonly plagues games and the movies. It's just not accurate for a military to have such an incompotent force. ))
The sergeant looked over the documentation and looked up at one on the far side. The other trooper gave a slight nod and the sergeant frowned a little. Once more the sergeant gave the two a look before handing the paperwork back. "<click> If you need into the cordoned area, you have to wait until the restrictions are listed. To get around the cordon, go north down that road," to which the gunny sergeant motioned towards a road, "for seven blocks. Take a left and head eastward for eleven blocks and take another left. Go south for until you come back to this road, and turn right. You'll find yourself right on the other side. Move along, now. Move along. <click>" He waved his paw as he spoke the last two towards the direction he had indicated. The sergeant did not want anything going wrong at his post and on his shift.

Varick: "Thank you Sir. We shall be on our way."
The two bounty hunters move off in the indicated direction ...for now and until out of sight.
ooc: Yes, I agree completely Binary. Whether it's stormtroopers in Star Wars, or Dead Boys in Rifts, the soldiers of militaristic nations get atrociously dumb-downed. Especially in the case if Rifts with the Dead Boys of the Coalition States; the CS had a blitzkrieg style army, they're not going to plod along at a snail's pace using World War One tactics!
