2nd Lt. Rakleon Savage frowned down at the huge mass of multi-colored, shaped, and speaking species picketing below as he gripped the hand bar of the LAAT gunship. He squinted through the gusts of wind blowing through the open cabin as he tried to make out the words on the signs below but wasn't able to make out most the text, so far the crowd was still in protesting mode rather then rioting mode. But just one angry group of hoodums and this peaceful protest would get a whole lot nastier...
Savage slipped his helmet over his head and snapped the enviorment seals into place. As his HUD came online he zoomed in the young students below, yelling out simple slogans and raising their fists in the air. This was the 6th protest they'd had to quell in the last month, there was speculation that soon simple discontent with Palpatines Laws would lead to open rebellion...
"Better being soldiers then glourified policemen then.." Rak thought to himself as the craft touched down softly. If it would come to war he'd be ready to go, no regrets at leaving behind the simple task of putting idealistic youths in their place. He wanted a challenge more then anything in the Empire. As he stepped off the ship onto the College Campus as he'd done 5 times before, he glanced up towards the ornate rooves of the old fashioned academic buildings. He'd majored in history, although mostly military, at the Carida academy. As he scanned the brick and cement structures, he saw a small flash through a window...
He froze in his place, it could be some small creature, some metal in the roof, a refelective stone in the brick, light shining through the glass of a window...
or a snipers scope...
Rak got a shiver in his spine as he turned back towards the angry students...he knew, somehow, blood would be spilled today..

Private Jondd frowned under his helm as he surveyed the scene before him. Helm firmly in place already, he allowed the MFTAS equipment installed into his armor to mark persons of interest and generic color masses that could have indicated a weapon of some kind. A recent recruit fresh from training and looking to make a name for himself, Bently could feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins; he unconsciously tightened up slightly on the fireguard of his BlasTech E-11.
With a glance out of the corner of his eye, aided by the holo-imaging system through which he saw the galaxy, he noticed the platoon commander shift slightly. His first thought was that something had drawn the officer's attention, but he quickly drew the conclusion that it was nothing of note; the officer had let it go without ordering any of them to look into it.
He inhaled deeply and once more returned his attentions to the immediate crowd before him. The teeming mass of protesters, though peaceful, made him feel somewhat upset; Emperor Palpatine had brought order to the galaxy in the wake of the Clone Wars, and now these things -he felt that he could not even call them people- dared to raise their voices against it. It almost made Pvt. Jondd sick to think about. Breaths steadying, the trooper quietly shifted his position ever so slightly, as to bring the barrel of his weapon closer to the crowd which has roused such a sickening feeling.
Another one of the troopers, donning the orange shoulder pauldron of a non-commissioned officer, stepped over to Lt. Savage after a few moments. "Sir?" he began over the channel assigned to them. After garnering the officer's attention, he would continue, "The platoon has disembarked and is awaiting your orders, Sir."

Savage turned to the officer and acknowledged. "Good Sergeant, return to your squad and await further orders."The NonCom nodded and walked off towards his waiting unit.
Rak scanned the outside of the protesters group, the edge was marked by a road block made up of permacrete baracades and a few repulsor vehicles in the middle of the plaza. Local law enforcement stood in large groups, decked out in riot gear, shields and stun sticks in their hands. It looked like this number of men could handle a situation like this.
Of course if that were true, command wouldn't had deployed them like this, and if troops were put on the ground in a more hectic situation it would have been conscripted army troops. Not highly trained Stormtroopers...
A beep in his helmet alerted him to a incoming transmisson, he tapped the side of his helmet and responded. "This is VK-903, go ahead."
"VK-903, this is CK-090" the voice of his company commander reverbed through his helmet. "Find the officer in charge of the local cops and find out what in the name of the Empire have they brough us out here on a sunday for." he said, sarcasm lacing his voice.
Savage chuckled to himself at his leaders wit, "No problem Captain, I think I've found him." He said as he spotted a short, self-important little skunk in a Police Cheif's uniform shouting out incoherant orders from a bullhorn. "Initiating Conact." He clicked his comm off, motioned to Privates Jondd and Fralf to follow, and walked over to the official...

Private Jondd inhaled slowly and continued to scowl under his helm, trying to tune out the numerous shouts against the Empire led by the crowd. He didn't understand why a crack unit like his was tasked to mere crowd control, but he knew it was not his place to question orders. A quick glance told him that his NCOIC had returned, and the platoon easily slid into formation after the disembarkment. Standing there for a few moments, Pvt. Jondd stole a glance here and there about the crowd; he had an uneasy feeling with being here. At this time, the trooper noticed the summons issued.
"Proceeding, Sir," he replied into his comlink and quickly fell into formation with the officer, his position in the platoon being filled in from the row behind him. Rifle held at port arms, Bently waited quietly one pace behind and to the right of Lt. Savage, waiting quietly to march wherever was deemed needed by the officer.

Savage made sure the two privates were behind him, and then walked over to the head officer, making sure his hand was close to the E-11 carbine in its thigh holster... He approached the leader from behind, as he shouted orders from his bullhorn to the massed riot police. Savage tapped the officer on his shoulder, and he dropped the bullhorn to the ground, making a sickening squealing crunch as it hit the ground, and he immediatly went for his side arm...
Savages first instinct was to go for his gun as well, but then the officer saw who he was and straightened up to his self-important look he had when he was issuing orders. "bout' time you showd up, this crowds bout' ta go real nasty..." he said with a noticeable accent. Savage looked over the, so far, still calm crowd and then turned back to the officer and looked him over. He was overweight, wore tons of ribbons over his breast, and looked like your average overpowered leader type who prayed for situations like this to show how less incompatant then their rivals they are. "With all due respect sir, even through this crowds slander agaisnt our emperor is unjust, they look orderly..."
The officer produced a scowl on his face, and looked nervously over his shoulder, then he motioned Savage closer. Curious, Rak removed his helmet and put his ear to the chief's mouth. "We have word that a new, organized resistence to the empire is emerging. There are reports they may have embedded terrorist cells among the students at the college...
Savage cocked an eyebrow at the remark, a organized resistence to the empire? How could such a thing be put together without High Command knowing? None of this was in this briefing, could this officer just be using this to manipulate him? He couldn't take a chance, he need some first hand intel from this area, and he doubted any of the students here would reveal such a thing willingly. Time for a excercise of Imperial power...
He turned to Private Jondd, "Private, run back to your squad and tell your Sergeant to move his unit over here. We're gonna need to bust down some doors..."

Rik Estar spotted the Imperial troops and knew that the time to take action was almost there. He put his hand to his ear and talked into a comm unit.
Rik: This is 'Concealed Dagger' to 'Enemy Within', Imps have shown their hand, repeat, Imperial troops have arrived. Time to make our move.
The arctic fox Rik Estar knelt down and proceeded to pull out a hidden blaster from his pants leg.
Rebel Operative: Copy that 'Concealed Dagger', preparing to engage enemy. 'Enemy Within', out.
'Enemy Within' turned out to be a recruited Imperial cadet who didn't like how the Empire was doing things, and he wasn't the only cadet in the protest, but most likely the only one who is secretly part of the Rebellion.

Lt. Savage led the Squad around the fringes of the crowd, staring into the mass of angery sentients. No doubt their presence had caused a rise in agitation, and several times a few improvised missles (mostly rocks and other hard objects) came their way. The remedy to this was a quick rifle butt to the face or low power stun shot. As he scanned the crowed, he noticed something that surprised and caused his stomach to churn. The grey/green uniform of a imperial naval crewer, participating in the protest.
Savages face turned to a tight scowl under his helmet, "Sergeant, keep your men close, I got a little something to deal with." The noncom nodded a reply and moved two men in behind Savage as he shoved his way through the protesting students to the officer. He grabbed him by the shoulders, roughly spinning him around to face him. He stared at the cadet through his visor, as he lifted him a few inches off the ground by his uniform.
"And just what in the name of the Empire do you think you're doing?!"

Cadet: The Emperor is wrong! Not all the jedi could have been part of a plot to overthrow the Republic! I've seen Jedi in action. They couldn't have all been responcible, atleast two had become my friends, now they are dead!

Savage's face went a deep crimson under his fur and helmet. "You doubt the word of the man who saved this galaxy from corruption and war?! I've heard enough! You're under arrest for treason agaisnt the Empire!" He turned to the men following him, "Private Jonnd, take this man to the processing center for booking, then have him interragated. He may know something about this supposed "rebellion" cooking up...

'Enemy Within' can only watch as one of his fellow cadets is dragged away by troopers.

(( Sorry for the delay. And, now, without further ado: ))
Pvt. Jondd nodded and said nothing as he roughly bound the former cadet efficiently with a pair of cuffs. The stock of his E-11 rifle was used as motivation for the beast to get moving in the desired direction. Bentley would carry out his orders, though he was no where near worried should any accidents befall the now-arrested ex-cadet; the boy's speach had been sufficiently seditious to warrant his execution. Deep down, the vulpine wanted shooting to break out amidst the croud.
Gloved paw tightening around the grip of his blaster carbine, the fox glanced around. Just because things were 'under control' now did not mean that he could relax his situational awareness. His tail swayed behind him slightly with each step; the owner ever mindful of the uneasiness that his granite training kept held at the back of his mind.

The rebel strike team led by Rik Estar wiped out their weapons and opened fire on the Imperials. Rik saw the Imp (Pvt. Jondd) who was leading away the imprisoned cadet and threw a vibro-knife at their weapon paw.
Rik: Cover is blown! Fire at will!

Savage saw the glint of metal out of the corner of his visor, acting quickly he lept on to Jondd and the captive cadet, bringing them to the ground in a heap as the knive flew pass where they had been seconds ago. Quickly he rolled off the two men, bringing himself to a kneeling stance and drawing his E-11 as a group of protestors drew weapons and took aim at him.
Savage: Enemy Contacts! Fire at Will! Set for lethal!

Private Bently Jondd grunted as he felt himself suddenly thrust forward from some unknown source behind him. As he landed roughly on the duracrete, the cadet fortunately between him and the hard ground, his first thoughts were upon whom was ‘attacking’ him from behind. However, the sound of blaster fire filling the air quickly changed his mind on the topic.
Pvt. Jondd needed no further instruction, training taking over immediately. Without a word, he pulled his carbine into a prone, unsupported position and, still lying on the arrested cadet, began to discharge his rifle in the direction that he could see the incoming blaster bolts flying from.
After several blasts, Bently paused a moment to garner a better awareness of the scene. He could not say that he had seen bolts flying from the crowd, but he had invariably seen several fly into it. Adrenaline sent his heart racing as he scanned for viable targets, not wanting to draw more casualties than needed.
The fox looked around, trying to designate real targets rather than expend munitions on non-combatants, checking once more the windows. Something glinted in one and, rather than take the risk, the vulpine trooper rolled onto his back and drew a bead into the window. Bently knew he had but one shot, and squeezed the trigger of his E-11 without reservation.

Savage turned his head to find the traitorous Cadet lying on the ground, Private Jondd had rolled over, and drawn aim on a window. A burst shot from his E-11, hitting true on its mark and blasting a upper window of a academic building in.
With that shot, all Hell broke loose.
From all the other windows, sniper fire shot out into the crowd, catching several troopers sending them flying back in the crowd knocking whole groups over.
Savage knew that out in the open they were sitting ducks, if they stayed low under the crowd, they could stay out of fire unless these "rebels" were willing to kill civilians. He motioned two heavy weapons troopers over.
Savage: Covering Fire! 11'0 Clock! Go Go Go!
The troopers didn't need to reply, they raised their T-21 Repeaters pouring rapid fire on the windows, blasting the whole upper floor into splinters as the old fashioned wood and brick was smashed to smithereens by the rapid red bolts. Savage quickly pulled Jonnd up by his shoulder, and pointed a alleyway off to the side to his troops.
Savage: Make for cover, Jonnd, You have point! MOVE OUT!!!

Rik Estar is hit in the right shoulder by blaster fire and is knocked on his back.
Estar: Poodoo!
A tired looking female cat in the crowd throwns off her robes and ingites her twin blue lightsabers. It is Wynssa Atrakus, a survivor of Order 66. She deflected blaster fire back at one of the Imperial troopers as she makes her way over to Rik Estar.
Estar: Master Atrakus, I heard you were killed on Talis VII.
Atrakus: No, I am very much alive, and I intend to stay that way.
ooc: Wynssa Atrakus is one of the Jedi that had been in my Battle of Galidran fan-fic.

The shear volume of fire being returned to his position shocked Private Jondd, delaying his reaction for only part of a second. Amazement subsiding, the fox realized a major flaw in his position: he was completely open. Deciding it better to be a moving target in the open than a still one, Bently pitched himself to his left and rolled off of the arrested cadet; timing fortunate enough that a series of bolts narrowly missed direct contact with the prone trooper.
He vaguely noticed the storm troopers with repeaters raising them to fire as he was hauled up to his hind-paws. His situational awareness already told him to seek cover, and Bently began looking around for a viable source as he noticed the lieutenant pointing.
Pvt. Jondd remained cool and quiet as he began to lay down an amount of fire towards the direction in which he moved, no longer discerning between non-combatant and hostile; he had come to the conclusion that all present were guilty of something for harboring those whom would open fire of soldiers of the Empire. Even as he cleared the path, however, Bently knew that he could expect to not see many of his compatriots again after the day was over.
As the Force tends to throw things poorly to those whom it deems unworthy, however, the path quickly became filled with a rather unwelcome sight: Jedi. “Lieutenant,” shouted the vulpine soldier, ignoring the fact that the corporal to his left went down from a reflected bolt, “Jedi!” Bently released the trigger of his E-11 and reached behind him with his trigger paw. A soft click was masked by the roar of combat as he pulled the single thermal detonator that all troopers were equipped with, and a very quiet beep was likewise masked as he, in one fluid motion, brought it around and armed the five-second timer. He held the armed explosive device for two of those seconds before hurling it with all his might towards the saber-wielding foe, hoping that she would be otherwise too distracted to react in time.

ooc: Sure you can join, Cyberpaladin85.
ic: Wynssa Atrakus sees the detonator as it lands, without thinking of her own well being, she uses a Force push to send her allies out of harms way as it explodes. Bits of durasteel casing from the explosive device rip through the female Jedi's left side, and a large chunk of duracrete has lodged itself in her right lung. She collapses in pain and drops her lightsabers.
Atrakus: There is no death... there is only the Force.
