IC: Mandalore, 3 BBY Emperor Palpatine has ordered his apprentice, Darth Vader to the Mandalore system once again, to hunt down and destroy the surviving Jedi there. Along with Vader are two Dark Side adepts, six Purge Troopers (part of the Dark Trooper project) and a battalion of elite Stormtroopers. Kal Skirata has passed away of old age, but his legacy lives on in those of his clan. Matt and Rani Hunter, along with their now 17 year old son, are meditating when Rani has a terrible vision in the Force. "Matt... Darth Vader is here on Mandalore... "Rumor has it that Vader is or was infact the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker." says Ordo as he walks up. "I've also heard that he is responsible for the deaths of countless Jedi at the temple during Operation Knightfall."

"Are you sure Vader doesn't know where we are?" Rani asks.

IC: "How'd they find that out?" Matt asks.
"Good question, General," Ordo agrees.
OOC: Are we sure we don't to change the threat to Starkiller (The Secret Apprentice), instead of Vader?

"That being the case, I'm surprised it took them seventeen years to get around to us again," Matt says. "The Imps normally move at lightspeed to eliminate a Jedi that hasn't completely covered their tracks. Also, this fortress is relatively remote, and nobody who doesn't have a reason to come up here comes anywhere near the place. So, they're probably thinking we set up somewhere near the old encampment. Ordo, see to it that they continue to think that."

OOC: Good to see Flashback as the competent elite trooper he was, rather than the suicidal whiny crybaby we had in the last couple of pages of the last part of the story. It's a refreshing change.
IC: "Dad, anything I can do to help?" asks Carth.
"Not at the moment," Matt replies to his son. "But if I do think of something for you to do, I'll let you know."
OOC: Marcus, we need an image of Carth Hunter... and remember that a coss between a dog and a wolf is frequently called a 'lobo' or a 'wolfdog'...

As the team prepares for battle, Lord Vader has sent out dozens of probe droids to search for his targets. One on them, Probe TZX-139 comes across the fortress and relays the information back to Captain Thrasher, a officer on the 501st.
"Lord Vader, probe droid TZX-139 has located a fortress in the mountain range, it appears that the enemy forces are there." says Thrasher.
"Very good Captain. Prepare for battle." instructs the Sith Lord.

OOC: I see... I would assume that the precautions include very subtle broad spectrum jamming of all known probe droid comm frequencies (counting those in the fortress' databanks), meaning that Vader only knows that someone is using the fortress. For all he knows, it could simply be mercenaries using the place as a headquarters (an impression I'm sure Matt would foster, remember, he's from a time when the Sith were running rampant across the Galaxy)...
I'm assuming that Matt's set his troops up as a PMC (Private Military Company) and is licensed as such on Mandalore, thus giving him legal cover.
