It is the height of the Second Imperial Civil War. After the Mandalorians helped the Galactic Alliance at the Battle of Botajef against the Fel Empire, Mandalore's loyalty has been in question. Most people on the planet are Anti-Imperial since Darth Krayt toke power, but those loyal to the current Mandalore, a traitorous warrior named Yaga Auchs, have thrown their lot with the Sith Controlled Empire. To bring the population into line, Yaga has called for an Imperial attack on his world.
