He did a great job while with Rimsoo 27 until one day he got word his father died and he was sent back to Corellia, this was four weeks prior to Order 66 being issued. Due to his uncanny foresight, he was able to survive the purge of all Force-sensitive persons who opposed the Empire. He joined the Rebellion around the Battle of Yavin, pulling the same duties he did as a company clerk.
