It has been a year and a half since Luke Skywalker learned the horrible truth about his father. After learning on a new Death Star being built in the Endor System, the Rebel Alliance gathers more intel. They learn the Emperor himself will be aboard the battle station. General Marcus Starkiller and his crew have been called away from defending the Badgir System from the Empire.
"My darling, why have we left the Badgir System in such a hurry?" asks Ivanova.
"We have been ordered by the Chain of Command to head for the Sullust System, some kind of massive fleet operation." admits Marcus.

Meanwhile, Luke and Carth are on Tatooine trying to rescue Han Solo, who had been frozen in carbonite by Darth Vader in a test of the effects of carbon freezing upon living beings.
OOC: Quick Omake (WARNING: BREACH OF 4TH WALL DETECTED!): Matt Hunter views the post and says, "You'd think Vader'd remember what happened to me on Korriban."

"Grand Master Yoda," Carth says, bowing his head in respect. "Luke and I both know that we still need some training before we face Darth Vader again, or Darth Sidious, for that matter."
"Darth Sidious?" Luke asks in confusion.
"The Emperor," Carth and Yoda reply in a deadpan chorus.
OOC: I plan to have Yoda hang on as the figurehead of the Jedi Order for a while (at least until Thrawn shows up), then Matt takes over as Grand Master of the Jedi Order.

Carth picks Luke's gear up from the forest floor. "Sure thing, Commander."

OOC: By the way, Boba Fett does not wind up as Sarlacc bait on Tatooine in this TL. He noted to himself that Carth moved like a Mandalorian, then took his chance to bug out when the Sail Barge battle erupted, Carth let him go.

OOC: I was figuring that Boba Fett had already returned to Mandalore, where agents of the Emperor are most assuredly not welcome, to do some serious thinking... I'll handle it, myself.
IC: "You're crazy to ask me to hunt down a fellow Mandalorian, and a member of Ne'tra Kad at that," Boba Fett tells the Imperial agent. "Also, I suggest you leave Mandalore and never return, before word of your presence slips out and you have a mob chasing you offworld."
