The Acropolis-class battlestar was the first generation follow-on to the original Jupiter-class, being the basic Jupiter design completely sheathed in armor. This is the Acropolis, herself.

The Jupiter-class also had a command variant, of which two were built: Atlantia and Rycon. The images attached to this post are of the Command Variant Jupiter-class battlestar Atlantia at the beginning, midpoint, and end of her long career with Colonial Fleet.

The Heracles-class battlestar was the second generation follow-on to the Jupiter-class battlestar utilizing technology from the new Mercury-class battlestar, the Heracles-class only just resembles the Cylon War-era Jupiter-class battlestars. This is the battlestar Heracles, herself.

This is the modified Acropolis-class battlestar Fearless (BSG-55). She was used as a testbed for the Manticore missile system as well as at least one other unidentified weapons system replacing several turrets on her head.
