Following the fighters, a skilled pilot named Kahn sat at the controls of his custom fighter. The pilot was not an ordinary pilot, but a droid. Constructed by an unknown source, he was able to literally become one with his ship. The artificial man took careful aim, and engaged a pair of missiles.
Kahn: Let em' have it!

Using the opportunity to move, Safina's squad fights it way back to the main group.
Meanwhile, Mirdala and Nera are running low on ammo from the extended fire-fight. A Vong attempts to strike at Nera with his staff, but just barely misses her. Nera uses her bayonet to gut the enemy soldier, in order to save precious ammo.

ooc: Cool. And Raygun, sorry if I sounded abrasive just a few minutes ago; I've had a long, f'ed up day.
ooc: I hate to say this, but I'm out of ideas regarding this role-play. Sorry, but non-interactive combat is really taxing on my imagination.

Three hours later, the fighting is over. Both sides have lost many people. The Ta'alib city is damaged, but still standing. Clan Hadar finally has some downtime. A week later, still on the Ta'alib homeworld, while watching the HoloNet, General Starkiller learns the war is over and informs everyone who fought under her command (including Clan hadar).
Ivanova: Mirdala, Nera, it looks like you will be parents after all.

Mirdala: Indeed, we will be.
With the terrible war finally over, the Galaxy can finally live in peace again. Though there are still problems, the future looks quite bright.
