"That they can. I am afraid we must evacuate the planet for the time being." Nina states. "After the Alliance fighters have distracted the Sith Imperials, the Pride of Naboo will deploy evac shuttles to ferry survivors to Shin'ju Prime. That includes us."

Emliss opens a window overviewing the cavern outside. "I will regret leaving this world." Shi says mournfully. "But I will be coming back eventually. That I swear by the True Emperor's name."

"All of you will return. That I promise." Nina responds and she kisses her new friend on the cheek. "We will make the Sith pay for all of this, not just here, but for the poisoning of Dac and the destructions of other worlds."

"We can never forget what the Sith have done." Emliss states defiantly. Shi gestures vaguely in the region of hir crotch. "Nearly the entire Ta'alib race carries the legacy of what they have done."
Shi straightens before delivering hir next statement. "And we survived that. We will survive again and teach the Sith the same lesson they have refused to learn time and time again, that war is no way to win."

"Indeed. There are talks of our true Emperor, Roan Fel forming an alliance with the Galactic Alliance remnant and the surviving Jedi. If this happens, we stand that much of a better chance to end the Sith for now and forever." Nina states. "And I must confess something. I know we have only had three other meetings prior to this, but there is a big reason for me taking that shot. I think I have started to develop an attraction to you and didn't want to see you killed."

Emliss doesn't quite know how to respond to the governor's statement. The Amaran does look a lot like hir own species, just with shorter, red-colored fur and the obvious distinction. One could easily call her attractive. But she's an Imperial Moff of all things, and Emliss Etytust is just a missionary on a largely unknown Rim world.
"I think," she begins, trailing off as she thinks. "I think that plan could be our best option for fighting the Sith. We should focus on making sure we're alive to serve the Emperor in the coming battles. We need to organize an evacuation."

"I am going to pull some strings once we reach Shin'ju Prime." Nina says. "I want you to be my personal bodyguard. I know it is much to ask of you, but I want to keep you by my side."
Alarms start to sound.
"This is Galactic Alliance warship Pride of Naboo to survivors that are planet side. We have pushed our engines above safe levels to get to you earlier then scheduled. Launching fighter screen now. Start evacuation ASAP." states a male human voice over the loudspeaker.

"All right!" Emliss calls out to the crowd. "Everybody try to form a series of neat lines leading back into the turbolifts!" As the crowd of refugees inevitably turns into chaos shi begins to draw upon hir powers in frustration. "I know you just got here, but it is of paramount importance that you all get to safety."

"It's a bit late for them to escape unharmed." Emliss says mournfully as shi follows the Moff out. "The best we can hope for is for no further loss of life. How many more passengers can the freighter take?'

"If we dump the cargo, we can haul fifty more people." Nina states. "The engines will be taxed to their limits, but it is worth the risk. Are there any fighter craft nearby?"
"I couldn't help but overhear both of you." states Commander Azu Ra, a Ta'ala herm. "My squad mates and I still fly the old Twin Blizzards. We can pack four refugees per fighter with us."
"Thank you. Emliss and I may be joining you aboard your craft to make more room aboard the freighter I came in." Nina states. "I can man one of the weapons systems if you need the help."

"Many thanks Commander." Emliss adds in. "I don't know what good I would be on a starfighter but I would rather put myself in harm's way than one of the cubs out there." Shi gestures out at the crowd, singling out the families, especially those with young children. "They should be the first ones on board the freighter."

Emliss and Nina's group make it over to the reinforced underground hangers that served the colony in the pre-terraforming days and now sheltered the few ships left on the planet from bombardment. Shi jumps into one of the co-pilot's seats and the moff sits in the gunner's chair right next to hir. The Ta'alib leans over to help the Amaran strap herself in tight, and can't help but notice the restraints binding on certain specific areas...
Shi jumps back to hir seat before Nina notices too much, shi hopes.

Emliss is shocked that the moff is being so forward, is she still in shock from the blaster? Was there some Sith wizardry in the weapon? Could shi be accidentally using hir powers to influence her? "I think you should wait until we're both safe and you're healed before making such decisions, governor."

Emliss shudders at the Moff's touch, shi can feel her affection and lust through her skin. Shi may have trouble admitting it to hirself, but shi is having similar feelings. "Yes," shi replies. "I suppose you would know. But we can discuss it later."
An impact rocks the cavern as a torpedo strikes the surface above. "I am pretty sure we should focus on getting out with our lives."
