Kari quickly strips out of her dress uniform and pulls on her new blue flightsuit before saying to Amie, "Time to earn our pay."

Amie gets her flight suit on as well. The pair then rush to the Winged Vixen's assigned hangar with their new squad mates.

The pair quickly arrive at the squadron's briefing room. "Reporting for duty!" they say as they come to attention before their squadron commander.

"We are under attack by the Empire. According to Captain Starkiller, a member of Raptor Squadron located and destroyed a Viper Probe Droid, but not before it sent out a high power transmission. That was half an hour ago and an Imperial fleet has just arrived. But, the Alliance was able to send some ships to our aid as well." Nerva states.

"Those were for luck." Amie says. "Stay safe."

OOC: At this point, Amie and Kari have rather blank looking helmets aside from the Rebel Alliance emblem. They will have a chance to paint them once they have survived several missions.
IC: Amie climbs into the cockpit of her new X-Wing. The astromech assigned to her is a somewhat beat up looking R4 model that has been nicknamed Ratz.

OOC: When our characters do get to customize their helmets, I figure Kari would go for the colors and symbology of VF-84 Jolly Rogers (go search YouTube for the Tomcat scenes from The Final Countdown if you're curious). And I'm not breaking up the bromance between Kari and Jade.
IC: Kari gets R2-JD "Jade" as her partner. While she gets an R2 in good condition, her X-Wing is an ex-Partisan fighter that is in need of overhaul.

In the ensuing melee, Kari discovers that the Partisan paint scheme seems to blend into space as she scrapes a TIE/In Interceptor off of Nerva's tail. "Vixen 11 to Lead, your tail is clear for the moment," she says.
