Background: Jem was born to Cal and Trinna Estara in 18 BBY (Before Battle of Yavin) at the Kieran Halcyon Memorial Hospital in CoroNet City. Her father is a wealthy executive for Corellian Engineering Corp. and due to this, Jem was able to attend the best schools on the planet. Throughout her education, Jem excelled at almost all her classes, excluding sports. She has a gift for art and history. During college, she befriended Dasha Gaeriel Vul'pin, a fellow corellian. Jem and her parents live on the Estara Family Estate. She has taken up a job at CEC like her father, but unknown to her parents, she is secretly financing a local rebel cell with a large portion of the money she makes, and has a crush on a young rebel officer named Torm Caast. Jem's hatred of the Empire stems from one of her friends from highschool being gunned down by an Imperial patron when she was mistaken for a wanted rebel operative.

Looks to be your standard rebel sympathiser without much in the way of quirks. Nothing too extraordinary, but that alone is something different from most characters.

Just a little question: where does her dislike of the Empire stem? Did she lose a friend or beloved from them? Did she (and her love) escape a raid? It looks (until your quote) like she's just financing her sweeties little games (and should act as such) unless she has a reason to dislike the proper government.
