This will be the dump for all the chars for my Dark Days story. Here's the first and there's plenty more to follow. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Full name: Roth Koroban
Alliance: New Republic
Rank: New Republic Army Lieutenant
Species: Jackal
Age: 32
Sex: Male
Assignment/Location: 123rd Rifles (A platoon, 1st squad), Sett Taskforce/Balnor System, Galactic North East
Born: 11BBY
Place of Birth: Anobis
Parents: Father ----> Talic Koroban Mother ----> Sian Koroban
Education: Initially from his parents on the family business. When he joined the AFP (later NR) Military Training Academy.
Marital Status: Single
Background: The eldest of four brothers, Roth was expected to follow his father in the family trade of fruit and vegetables. While his father lectured him on everything there was to know about Qualk fodder, his brothers were free to chase the girls and mess around. This angered Roth and after a bitter argument he left home promising never to return. After several years of trying to earn a living doing what ever he could in rougher end of one of Anobis’ space ports, Qualig, he heard that the Alliance of Free Planets were looking for recruits to help them restore order from the remnants of Imperial forces. With nothing to lose and desperate to do something worthwhile, Roth signed up.
He joined the ground forces, despite making the grades for pilot and has risen steadily through the ranks. His body bears the scars of years of campaigning and he is especially proud of the ones he sustained during the Tirth Campaign. He is a proud and capable warrior, hardened by his combat experience and hateful of anything Imperial.
In 24ABY he was executed along with many other members of the New Republic force stationed at Haldor Outpost, on the backwater planet of Klobee V, in the spate of Revenge Raids orchestrated by Admiral Cora Ordana after the destruction of the Super Star Destroyer Harbinger.

Full name: Jacen Youngblood
Alliance: New Republic
Rank: Corporal
Species: Fox
Age: 22
Sex: Male
Assignment/Location: 123rd Rifles (A platoon, 1st squad), Sett Taskforce/Balnor System, Galactic North East
Born: 1BBY
Place of Birth: Talreth
Parents: Father ----> Broo Youngblood Mother ----> Kara Youngblood
Education: New Republic Military Training Academy.
Marital Status: Single
Background: Since he was a pup, Jacen has wanted to be in the army. The strange thing was he did not care which army it was as long as he could fight, as when he played with the other kids he would gladly be an Imperial Stormtrooper or a Rebel soldier. However his parents ensured that he did not get caught up in Imperial propaganda or spend too much time around the Imperial garrison on Talreth. Instead they told him as much as they could about the Rebel Alliance and convinced him that it would be far more worthy to fight for them.
When the Empire collapsed, Jacen was disappointed that there would be nothing to do by the time he got the chance to sign up. However the peace that followed the Emperor’s demise was short lived and he was glad to see that there was still some action to be had.
The heavy losses sustained during the Tirth Campaign meant that a massive recruitment drive was rolled out across the New Republic. Jacen signed up immediately and after his mandatory two years in the MTA, he was assigned to his combat post with the 123rd Rifles.
Despite being a brave and trustworthy soldier, he relies on others to make the decisions. He fought in the Battle of Xanon in 23ABY and was put up for promotion by Lieutenant Koroban. However the following year he was captured by Imperial forces at Haldor Outpost and ‘Raked’ into Imperial service. He was eventually killed in 27ABY while leading a Stormtrooper squad in a raid on New Republic forces on Kaleth.

Full name: Justin Sinan
Alliance: New Republic
Rank: Sergeant
Species: Twi’lek (Green)
Age: 25
Sex: Male
Assignment/Location: 123rd Rifles (A platoon, 1st squad), Sett Taskforce/Balnor System, Galactic North East
Born: 4BBY
Place of Birth: Galton
Parents: Father ----> Syylk Sinan Mother ----> Nomi Sinan
Education: Basic military training as part of the United Republic Resistance Movement of Galton
Marital Status: Married to Orin Klar
Background: Justin decided from an early age that he wanted to join the Rebel Alliance. Despite the death of the Emperor at Endor, Imperial forces still held sway over much of the galaxy.
An idealistic youth, Justin got involved with the local Resistance movement at sixteen and helped spread New Republic propaganda. He was arrested several times and publicly flogged, but this did not alter his views. Unfortunately it did alter those of his family who, after his most recent flogging, distanced themselves from him as they did not want to be connected to his illegal activity.
Distraught, Justin considered giving up his role in the resistance. Just as he was about to leave the group he met Orin Klar, a new member of the Resistance. For them it was love at first sight and in a secret ceremony, they were married.
Shortly after their marriage, the group’s secret base was betrayed by an insider to the Imperials, who immediately raided it determined to break the resistance. Justin and Orin barely escaped with their lives and many of the group were killed. With no where else to go, he returned to his parents’ house and they gladly welcomed him back. However much to their and his wife’s dismay, he joined the New Republic army to help rid the galaxy of the Empire.
Thanks to his basic training in the resistance, Justin was fast tracked through the Military Training Academy and posted with the 123rd Rifles. He fought alongside Roth Koroban, a sergeant at the time, during the Tirth Campaign and was promoted soon after.
In between the fighting he managed to return to his home planet to see his family. He also had two children, the first in 17ABY and the second a year later.
Justin was killed in action in 23ABY at the Battle of Xanon.

Full name: Roy Pahlee
Alliance: New Republic
Rank: Private
Species: Racoon
Age: 20
Sex: Male
Assignment/Location: 123rd Rifles (A platoon, 1st squad), Sett Taskforce/Balnor System, Galactic North East
Born: 1ABY
Place of Birth: Korda
Parents: Father ----> Gary Pahlee Mother ----> Lizsen Pahlee
Education: New Republic Military Training Academy
Marital Status: Single
Background: Roy’s father died in a mining accident when he was young. His mother worked desperately hard to earn enough to feed them both and to keep a roof over their heads. Despite her best efforts their ruthless landlord evicted them for missing a rent payment by an hour (he had another family with a more steady income demanding accommodation and he had done everything he could to legally evict the Pahlees).
With no where to go, Liszen turned to her sister for help and she reluctantly agreed to take them in. Gradually she warmed to Roy and began to spoil him, so that by his teens he had become a lazy and hopeless individual. It therefore came as a surprise when he announced on his seventeenth birthday that he had joined the New Republic Army, as both his aunt and mother expected him to do nothing for the rest of his life.
After completing his basic training he was assigned to the 123rd Rifles to replace Justin Sinan. Like everything he turned his hand to, he had lost interest in the army after the first couple of months. However he had no option but to see his minimum term of service through. He found it hard to fit in with Koroban’s squad and constantly complained that Koroban was overly demanding and intrusive.
He was captured at Haldor Outpost in 24ABY by Imperial forces and ‘Raked’ into service. Ironically after his psycho-conditioning, he became a very determined and active soldier and worked his way up the ranks to become a Major in the Imperial Army. He was killed in 41ABY when the Star Destroyer Shadow was destroyed.

Full name: Del Tess
Alliance: New Republic
Rank: Private
Species: Coyote
Age: 21
Sex: Male
Assignment/Location: 123rd Rifles (A platoon, 1st squad), Sett Taskforce/Balnor System, Galactic North East
Born: 0BBY
Place of Birth: Onderon
Parents: Father ----> Otzz Tess Mother ----> Amaya Tess
Education: New Republic Military Training Academy
Marital Status: Single
Background: Del was the middle child of three. His parents were caring and hardworking, encouraging their children to excel at whatever they did. Unlike most middle children, he did not go out of his way to prove himself and was as gentle and mild mannered as his brother and sister. As he grew up though his parents became concerned that he was taking an unhealthy interest in galactic events. They tried to discourage him, but their words went largely unheeded.
When his friends decided they were going to join up, Del decided that he was going to go with them. However he was afraid of telling his parents in case they refused to let him go, so he resolved to keep it a secret. On the day he was set to leave for the academy he set out for his part-time job as normal, but instead of showing up for work he headed to the space port.
Throughout his time at the Academy he could never stop feeling guilty for not sating good bye. On the other hand he could never find the courage to face them about what he had done. This nagging distraction cost him his place in Officer’s Corp as he flunked his final tests.
Assigned to Koroban’s squad, he fought as hard as any other New Republic soldier and was particularly noted for his tactical awareness and coolness under fire. However his quietness often held him back and it also got him into trouble with Lt. Koroban on several occasions.
During his time in Koroboan’s squad he grew fond of Private Reiko Zeorg. This lively young soldier was the complete opposite to Del. However she was completely infatuated with him and their relationship became the source of a squad bet as to whether Del would ever ask her out! Unfortunately Reiko was killed in action at the Battle of Xanon in 23ABY and Del never truly got over her loss, but their relationship made him a more outward going individual.
A year later at Haldor Outpost, Del was killed whilst bravely confronting several Stormtroopers in close combat. He did this despite being wounded and losing his blaster immediately beforehand.

Full name: Leeta Silth
Alliance: New Republic
Rank: Sergeant
Species: Togruta
Age: 27
Sex: Female
Assignment/Location: 123rd Rifles (A platoon, 1st squad), Sett Taskforce/Balnor System, Galactic North East
Born: 6BBY
Place of Birth: Jabil
Parents: Father ----> Caleb Silth Mother ----> Ralla Silth
Education: New Republic Military Training Academy
Marital Status: Single
Background: Daughter to an overbearing father, Leeta was forced to live out his dreams. What made matters worse was that she was an only child and her mother hardly spoke out against her father’s demands. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, she was pushed towards more masculine activities and jobs. Her father treated as the son he never had.
When she turned seventeen, he pressured her into joining the New Republic military as he had always wanted to join the Alliance to fight the Empire. Despite not wanting to do it, she knew how forceful her father could be, so she joined up.
At the Academy she was known as a bit of a tomboy and was always trying to prove herself to her male counterparts. Her overconfident attitude made her overbearing and many people generally kept a friendly, but safe distance which many men thought was a shame as she had a ‘nice body’!
The harsh reality of combat brought her down a notch or two. Her original post was with the 145th rifles on Baleera. In 13ABY, an Imperial raid decimated her unit and in the intense fighting she was shot and badly injured. Tragically for her, her few real friends did not survive the raid.
After she had recovered, there were not enough members of 145th Rifles left to reform the unit, so the survivors were assigned to new posts. Leeta was placed in Roth’s unit and served alongside him during the Tirth Campaign.
As they fought beside each other, they developed feelings for one another. Despite many nights of passion, they decided to stay mutual friends. However no matter how many others they saw or how distant they became, there was a certain something that always drew them back together.
In 24ABY Leeta was executed along with Roth and other members of their company at Haldor Outpost.

Full name: Nataya Hunew
Alliance: New Republic
Rank: Corporal
Species: Fennec Fox
Age: 23
Sex: Female
Assignment/Location: 123rd Rifles (A platoon, 1st squad), Sett Taskforce/Balnor
Born: 2BBY
Place of Birth: Fen
Parents: Father ----> Antur Hunew Mother ----> Theena Hunew
Education: Limited combat training from parents, New Republic Military Training Academy
Marital Status: Engaged to Aarten Kayle
Background: Nataya had always been interested in fighting the Empire, for as far back as she can remember her parents always talked of and involved her in their Rebel activities. As soon as she could walk they put a blaster in her hand and when she began to talk they told her all about the Rebel Alliance.
Both Nataya’s parents actively served in the Rebel army, although they took it in turns to go away and fight. This was mainly so as not to arouse too much suspicion but also to make sure that there was someone to look after Nataya. However when her mother was killed in action at the Battle of Endor, her distraught father decided not to serve in the Alliance forces again and stayed with her instead. A year later he was shot dead in a dispute with a street vender and his dying words were for her to “fight for what she believed in.”
The orphaned Nataya was taken in by her kind hearted neighbours who raised her as one of their own children. She never forgot her parents and what they taught her. As soon as she was able she joined the New Republic army and after completing her training was assigned to Roth’s squad.
During her time with the 123rd Rifles she met and fell in love with Aarten Kayle, who was in 2nd Squad of B Platoon. They saw each other as much as they could and decided that after their mission with the Sett Taskforce, they would get married.
In 23ABY Aarten was killed in the early stages of the Battle of Xanon, when his squad was caught in an ambush. Nataya was killed a year later at Haldor Outpost.

Very good bios. But man, don't any of your characters survive the war?

Thanks.
Soz if its getting a bit depressing, but this platoon's luck ran out on Klobee V, where all of the Republic forces were either killed or captured. Also the war lasted quiet a time (from 11ABY to 73ABY) drawing in a lot of manpower, but its safe to say that the Republic won as they ultimately had more willing supporters and resources to draw upon. Also the rebuilding of the Jedi Order helped them immensely.
I'm going to put up an alternate timeline for Dark Days, so at least it will all make some sorta sense.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Full name: Reiko Zeorg
Alliance: New Republic
Rank: Private
Species: Red Panda
Age: 20
Sex: Female
Assignment/Location: 123rd Rifles (A platoon, 1st squad), Sett Taskforce/Balnor System, Galactic North East
Born: 2ABY
Place of Birth: Taris
Parents: Father ----> Ryo Zeorg Mother ----> Yuno Zeorg
Education: New Republic Military Training Academy
Marital Status: Single
Background: Reiko, the second child of two and much loved by her parents, was a lively and fun loving character. Her sister, who a few years older than her, was a very talented and much sought after dancer. It was hoped that Reiko would follow in her footsteps, but she was dismissed from the dance school her sister had attended for her poor attention and limited co-ordination. However this did not seem to bother her as she was more interested in the parties that she was invited to, thanks to her sister.
As a result of these often wild nights out, Reiko became a party animal. Her embarrassing behaviour strained her relationship with her sister and eventually her entire family. The final straw came when she got on stage drunk and interrupted her sister’s performance, loosing her sister an important client. Her parents promptly disowned her and sent her away, distraught that their little angle had become such a monster.
Addicted to her party lifestyle, she could never understand why her family made such a fuss. She continued to indulge in long bouts of drinking and wild parties and was in danger of going completely off the rails. Having spent all the money her parents had given her to leave, she began to take huge loans to keep partying without any hope of paying it back. This was all by the time she turned seventeen.
One drunken night, she fell in with a crowd of off duty New Republic soldiers at a bar and one of them easily convinced her to join up. It seemed like an easy way out from paying her debts and she continued to party while she was at the Academy. At one point she was almost thrown out however, with the increasing intensity of the Imperial raids, the Republic needed every soldier they could get so they gave her another chance.
Her first combat experience was a rude awakening to the harsh realities of war, as her company was annihilated in a lightning raid by Imperial forces in the build up to the Battle of Kal Tur. She was badly injured herself, loosing most of her left arm when a concussion missile exploded close by. It has since been replaced with a near-identical cybernetic one.
After she had recovered, Reiko was assigned to 123rd Rifles. She was not as wild as before, having learned to save her party antics for when it was appropriate. To the surprise of many she fell in love with the quiet and unassuming Del Tess. When asked about her choice, she could never really put her finger on why she loved him so much. As their relationship developed, some of her confidence rubbed off on Del and he became more vocal himself. Their bliss was shattered though when Reiko was killed in 23ABY at the Battle of Xanon.

Well being a grunt in a universe of laser weilding mad-men generally cuts yer chances of survival to nill. These are only one group of chars in the story and their are more with a little more longevity...but not much
