No, I'm not going to destroy the army men; I'll be pretending that I'm a platoon leader on an alien world, and the plastic army men are my troops to command. The cap gun is there for me to use against imaginary foes.

I remember that once my brother had some of those army men also, he set a damaged toy tank on the ground and had figures around it , the taunk had a smoke bomb in the turret and gas underneath, once the flame reached the gas, troopers got their (CENSORED) cooked.
