Though they have given me several good times and such, Palladium Books has gone too far! Rifts Ultimate Edition is a sad, sorry "improvement" on the Rifts RPG. It is now blatantly obvious (before it was just plain obvious) that the company doesn't know what they are doing with their game.
Rifts is a cool game, but has several fatally flawed rules and lacks consistancy and logic. Therefore, I feel the need to make a homebrew version of it, using my rules and laws. Oh, how grand it will be! No more metaplot, no more power creep, no more silly monsters!
And I shall call my creation, Gotterdammerung: New World Chaos.
Though I have other projects to finish, like Anthro Armada, I think I can somehow find time to make this project happen as well. And no, I don't have plans to market Gotterdammerung: New World Chaos, as it would still be too similar to Rifts to do so. It's just going to be a homebrew thing.

Thank you very much.
One of the advantages that I have is that the Rifts series as of now is mostely complete. When it started, they had no idea where to go with different parts of the world. Now with most of the world detailed to a degree, that makes my job of making a new world easier.

I caved in and bought Rifts Ultimate Edition last Friday. After closer inspection, it's actually at least partially decent. If anything, it will give me more fuel for my inventive fire.

I certainly hope so! It would be a shame for a emotional fire such as that just disappear!

Bah, I don't time to fix a system that's one giant flaw! I'm going to scrap this project for now and concentrate on my own RPG, like I should have done in the first place.

As try as I can, I cannot ignore making a homebrew version of Rifts. It calls me into it's trance dance, calling me to fix and improve upon what already exists. Therefore, I feel compelled to work on this rather than my own RPG. Who knows, perhaps after finishing this project, it will illuminate the way for me to finish my own RPG.
Yes, I realize that I change my mind constantly about stuff like this. It's a flaw that I'm trying to overcome.
If you would like to know more about this project of mine, feel free to ask.
