Although Cloaking Devices are the perfect form of stealth system, they are extremely difficult to manufacture and expensive to own and operate so other systems are more commonly used. The Koensayr DB-85 is an interception and scout starfighter which makes extensive use of baffling technologies to lower the energy signature of its power plant, engines and weapon systems to make it far harder to detect. The drive systems are of an advanced nature making this vessel incredibly fast as well as stealthy, with a top speed greater than that of the the TIE Defender and the A-Wing fighter and possibly making this the fastest Sublight vessel in existance. However with a price almost double that of the X-Wing, the DB-85 has remained fairly rare being purchased by only the very rich, and for only the most elite squadrons in the galaxy.
