I feel compelled to tell you guys about the Robotech game I was playing in back at Origins 2004. So, here's what happened:
The other players and I were part of the resistance against the Invid Invasion. The adventure begins as we all were in a town hall with it's citizens debating what was happening with their crops, which were dying. We had heard of a scientist who could hold the key to solving this mystery and possible destroy the Invid as well. So waht do we do? We set of in search of the scientist.
On our way to the scientist, we encounter a group of three Invid scouts; we decided to engage them. The highlights of the battle involved me getting the killing blow on two of them, the missile launcher of one of the other players malfunctioning and damaging us all, and and Invid exloding right over us, spilling green goop all over us. With the battle over, we soon arrived at the scientists house.
But it seemed that we weren't the first ones there! It appeared that the Invid took him hostage, and we had to rescue him. We followed the trail to a small town who's crops were totally destroyed somehow by a blight. The towns inhabitants just screemed "Invid Sympathizers." I alreted the other players to this fact outside of actual gameplay. So, what do we all end up doing? Go to the communal showers; all of us; at once.
Well, we all fell for the trap. So, we all brainstormed what to do. Being the strongest character in the bunch, and with help from thge other strong characters, we ripped off some of the pipes from the sink to use as a club and tried to shmash our way into the ventalation system. Unfortunately, that didn't work, as behind the first screen the next screen was bolted on.
If that wasn't bad enough, sleeping gas started to pour into the area. I must thank one of the other players for coming up with the idea of wrapping a towel around our faces to filter out the gas. Think that we all were unconscious, an town inhabitant, an old lady with a knife, came into to room.
Unfortunately, I have to go do a few errands now, so I'll have to finish what happened when I get back later today.
