Man, is this channel AWESOME!!!
Right now, I'm watching a show about ancient inventions; those Greeks were SMART! It's a shame that the Library of Alexandria was destroyed by religious fundamentalists; who knows how much more advanced we would be today if that library still stood!

The history channel is great and very addictive.
On our cable the history channel, discovery channel and Animal planet are all right next to each other. We call that region 'crack alley' because between those three channels you WILL find something interesting to watch and end up sitting there for hours.

Steam! The Greek inventor known as Heron harnessed the power of steam! With his knowledge of pistons and gears, he very well could have created a steam engine and started the Industrial Revolution 2,000 years earlier! Why, oh why, didn't he do that?!

Has the History Channel finally stopped the programming binge that allowed me to name it the 'Hitler' Channel?

I think so; I'm not certain. But I do agree, that was a lot of program time given to shows about him.
