Right now, I am reading "Wasteland Of Flint" by Thomas Harlan. The theme of the book is that the Aztecs conquered the world over a several hundred year period, and have moved out into space. The alien powers that exist gave the humans a small amount of space to control. One such world in that space holds a secret that will probably shift the balance of power forever.
