Commander Trai is escorted to Altessa's ready room just behind the bridge. Upon seeing that the CO of the Seppie fleet is a woman, he is speechless.
Commander Trai: ... I demand you release my crew.

ooc: Excellent! I was hoping that somehow, someway, some role-playing would be done in this RP.
Altessa: You are in no position to make demands, commander. But, do tell me, exactly why I should set your crew free, if they are enemies of my crew? Would you do the same if the shoe were on the other foot?

Commander Trai: *sarcasticly* I'm sorry... I thought I was in the presence of a civilized being, not that of a barbarian.

Altessa: How amusing. Perhaps you are dodging my question because you know you would see me and my crew executed, when you think that I might spare you and yours? Afraid that I might be the civilized one around here, hmm?

ooc: Uh, okay.
Altessa: I thought that you had the interests of your crew in your heart, but it seems that you just seem to care more about preserving your pride. What's wrong? Afraid that if you ask politely that I might very well free you and your crew with no strings attached whatsoever?

Commander Trai: After your first question, I knew you wouldn't let us go. Besides, Palpatine has said what the Seppies do to their prisoners.

Altessa: Palpatine might be telling the truth about MOST Seperatist commanders, but I am not like most Seperatist commanders. I, for one, know an honorable, worthy foe when I see one, and despite what has happened in this room, I consider you and your crew to be an honorable, worthy foe. Therefore, you and your crew may live and fight another day. Guards, give this man and his crew a shuttle, so that they may return to their flagship. Oh, and tell the fleet not to open fire on it, else they will feel my wrath.
Guard: Yes, my Admiral.
ooc: Like I said, she's Aberrant evil.

ooc: The captured Republic ship is under your control now because it is captured. You could use it against the Republic. You may want to rename the ship though.
ic: The shuttle full of the survivors from the Agile lands in the only surviving hanger bay of the Venator Star Destroyer Corellian Fire. As the crew disembarks, the shuttle's droid pilot takes off again and returns to the PD-1.
Meanwhile a battle droid strike force recaptures the Techno Union Starship Gladius and frees it's crew. The Gladius undocks from the Republic ship that had once captured it.

The Gladius makes its way towards the PD-1.
Altessa: "Hmm, what to call my new ship. I think I shall call it the Reconciliation. Yes, that will do nicely."
ooc: Surprised that I not only spared the crew, but set them free?

ooc: Yes I am.
ic: Commander Trai enters the bridge of the Corellian Fire and reports to Captain Galnor.
Captain Galnor: Commander, I though you and your crew were lost. What happened?
Commander Trai: They freed us. The CO of their fleet isn't like others under the glove of Count Dooku. She's a tactical genius, to bad she's fighting on the wrong side.
Captain Galnor: She?
Commander Trai: Yes sir. I overheard one other her crew talking to her as we were leaving. If I remember correctly, her name is Altessa. That's all I know.

ooc: Really? I should have mentioned that all my characters in Role-Playing Games like D&D and Rifts were all good-aligned and that Altessa is the first non-good character I've had and that I have a bit of a problem playing her that way. Anyways, back to the battle.
Altessa: "The Gladius is back with us now?"
Comm Officer: "Yes, Admiral."
Altessa: "Very good."
The damaged Punwickna Frigate takes too much additional damage and explodes. Other ships have their shields hit hard.

ooc: I hope he's okay. ooc: Because I do not like giving names to vessels that aren't going to be around for long, I'm just going to give a designation to the new ships. It was very, Very, VERY difficult for me just to name the previous ones. Sorry, but it's not fun for me to name all those ships. Altessa: "Is the Reconciliation ready for battle?" Comm Officer: "Yes, Admiral." Altessa: "Excellent." Comm Officer: "Shall we send her out to battle?" Altessa: "No, that would be a grave insult to our foe. For now, we shall keep her in our custody, safe and sound." Meanwhile the BC-3 takes heavy fire, and explodes from the damage scored against it. Altessa: (Thinking to herself) "Poetic Justice."

The Republic Troop Carrier C-1 is brought back online after being disabled for some time. But because of life support running low, the troop carrier must return to the Corellian Fire. The Corellian Fire opens a comm channel to the PD-1.
Captain Galnor: This is Captain Galnor of the Venator Star Destroyer Corellian Fire to the commanding officer of the Seperatist fleet. what's all this fighting about anyway? Why is Badgen so important to the CIS? Resources? Strategic importance? What?

ooc: Uh, okay...
Altessa: "We are here, simply because this system had significance to the Republic. Which is a shame, really, as this was such a nice world before we invaded. I wish we didn't have to invade, but invade we must."
ooc: Are you calling for a cease-fire?
|
|
|
Post by Marcus Starkiller on Aug 28, 2005 22:36:01 GMT -5
ooc: if you want a cease-fire, then sure.
ic: Captain Galnor: The only reason we are here is because Badgen is a Republic world and it is our duty to defend it.

ooc: I guess I could use a ceasefire now. We've been at this for a few hours, so I guess we could take a break for tonight. My class tomorrow ends at noon, so anytime after that would be good for me to resume playing.
