Varick: "Thanks Jesic, that's one I'll owe you for. Prewitt, any fighters incoming?"
Prewitt: "Yes, Sir, I have a full squadron of TIE's incoming."
Varick: "Okay then, we're out of here. But where too?"
General: "If I may say so, before our ship was shot down, we were on our way to Alderaan."
Varick: "Then it's Alderaan we go to! Prewitt, pilot us a course for there. Jesic, it look's like we'll be manning the guns."

Jesic slides down the access tunnel to the lower turret and straps in.
Jesic: This is were the fun begins.
TIE Fighters start their attack on the vessel and the female Mandalorian gets her first starfighter kill of the day.

"Saber One-One to squadron; Saber Lead has been taken out. Am taking command. Disperse and fire at will upon the fleeing [insert vessel here]," called out a smaller lynx into the mic on the headset he wore.
The Lieutenant Commander, Squadron XO, growled softly as he pulled around after flying by the hostile ship. The commander had been a close friend of his, and he depressed the trigger -emerald bolts arcing from the chin-mounted laser cannons of the TIE- towards the enemy in revenge.

The droid pilot jerked the transport out of the path of incoming fire, sending Jesic slamming against her crash harness almost knocking the wind out of her. She took aim at the nearest TIE but missed it and accidently hit a civilian airspeeder.

Varick opens fire on one of the TIE's, and damages one of its' wings. The TIE spins for a while, but the pilot regains control of the ship.

Varick: "Indeed they are."
Varick takes aim at another fighter and manages to damage it, but the pilot is able to evade destruction.

One of the damaged TIE is on a collison coarse with Jesic's turret, it is to close to take out safely and Jesic scrammbles out of the turret as the Imperial fighter rips through it with the damaged solar wing. Jesic doesn't get out of the tunnel fully as the fighter hits and her right leg is severed just below the knee.
Jesic: AAAIIIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!
She is about to tumble out of the hole in the ship as it banks to the left.

Varick hears Jesic's scream, and gets out of his turret to help her. He is stunned upon the sight of her missing part of her leg. One of the soldiers rescued from the downed ship takes Varick's place in the turret.
Varick: "Jesic! Prewitt, get us out of here, NOW!"
Prewitt: "Yes Sir."
Varick closes the turret hatch, as the ship manages to reach orbit. While Prewitt pilots the ship, Varick puts whatever medical skills he has to the test. With the help of the other soldiers, he manages to stop the bleeding, and applies whatever it is that they use to bandage a severed limb to Jesic's leg.
ooc: There was no chance of saving the severed part of the leg, right?

(( IF you two want me to Role-play the Imperial side, you'll need to allow me to post damage and responses of ALL Imperial assets situational events -IE: shuttle crashes and the like- you can initiate and post for, but I should be giving the affects of these situations on the Imperial soldiers.
Also, I believe the turret was destroyed in the collision... ))
"Saber One-One to Sabers Fife and Niner, bug out. Return to home plate. Saber One-Two is down, but damaged enemy. All remaining, press. Try to attack where the turret was taken out by Saber One-Two." The lynx barked out the orders calmly as he came around for the next pass on the vessel. He wanted nothing more to shoot down this vessel and return to mourn the losses of both pilots. Allowing a little bit of distance, he watched for an opportunity to launch a prescision attack.
That opportunity was happily taken as he saw it. With a turret distracted by Saber Three, the lynx wing-overed to the port and entered into a Tallon roll, emerald bolts discharged towards the occupied weapon emplacement.

One of the soldiers, being a well trained paramedic, stablizes Jesic, with the assistance of Varick.
Meanwhile, the second turret gets struck by the TIE's furious barrage of bolts, and is effectively taken out of commission; the soldier inside gets out before it's too late.
ooc: Would now be a good time to enter Hyperspace?

ooc: one form of counter-measures is the ECM; Electronic Counter-Measures, such as sensor-jamming or more sophisticated technologies which create ghost images etc.
ooc: Counter-measures can be used to detonate enemy missiles before they reach your ship, or they can disrupt laser fire.
