"Half of Tall's men were lost, along with 'Mapper' and 'Hindsight'. 'Barquan' was a Klick away for the fortress at the time, heading the evac and lost a leg plus the right forearm." says Ordo dryly. "Barquan will live, but he's out cold in the medlifter."

"How many times has he lost that arm, now?" Matt asked just as dryly.
OOC: I assume we're talking about Commander Barquan here?

OOC: Yes, I mean Commander Barquan.
IC: "Yeah, maybe the Commander is jinxed." adds Ordo.

"I really hate to bring this up, Ordo, but there's no way Vader should've been able to catch up to us so quickly, and know precisely where to drop the bombardment. All of that means just one thing: we have a traitor in the ranks, most likely among Tall's men," Matt says with a heavy sigh.

"I found the traitor!" barks Tall as he leads a beat up coyote into the room. "Jor Avlan is his name."
"Jor, why did you sell us out?" asks Rani.
"Empire... has my family." says Avlan.

Both Matt and Ordo are surprised at how quickly Tall has dealt with the issue.
"That was... quick," says Ordo, surprise audible in his voice.
OOC: Why was Ordo saying Barquan was probably jinxed a few posts back? That's something Flashback or Sidewinder would say, not Ordo.

"That's no reason to betray us, Jor." growls Tall.

"Well, it's a good thing we never intended to permanently move into that fortress," Matt says wryly.

"General Hunter, what do we do with him?" asks Tall.

"I'd prefer to do this by the book, but the book from the Clone Wars never envisaged this situation, and the book from the Mandalorian Wars was lost long ago," Matt muses. "Ordo, how would you handle it?"

"We've delt with stuff like this before. And as always, we end up killing em'." says Ordo rather grimly.

"Handle it, then, Ordo," Matt says, walking off.

"On your knees, scum." says Ordo.
A minute later, the traitor Jor is dead.

"I should've checked my people's loyalty more closely, Ordo," Tall says bitterly.

Tall walks off while Ordo sees to the clean-up from the execution.

Meanwhile, the 212th, 501st and and Darth Vader are now planetside 'mopping up' after the turbolaser fire, killing survivors.

OOC: Didn't our heroes escape that with their forces mostly intact?

OOC: Yes. The were however some badly injured troops still stuck at the fortress remains when Vader and his forces arrived.

OOC: I assume Commander Barquan wasn't one of them? I've grown rather fond of the frakker.
