"Admiral, I want you to know that repairs to the least damaged areas are underway." says Nova. "Sadly, we lost nearly an eighth of our crew due to the late Dholen's 'little' maneuver." I suggest we take on crewmembers from those vessels of his fleet that surrendered to us, and who's vessels have been crippled."

"I had no idea our casualties were that bad, Nova, especially since the ship was at battlestations..." Matt says quietly, as the conversation was taking place in his office.
"Some of it looks to be from failure of gas-tight doors and bulkheads," Nova replies. "I'll see about getting an engineering team to take a look at the system."
"Good," Matt says. "Keep me up to date with any progress."
OOC: That's it from me until the day after Labor Day.
Marcus? Your turn.

"We still need to liberate Onderon and Dxun from Isard loyal forces planetside." says Marcus to his wife.
"I agree." says Ivanova. "I know just the person to help lead Strike Group Alpha down on the planet. She's currently a private within the team. Her name is Zam Teta... she was born on Onderon and has some skill at flying the native beasts like in the times of old."
A short time later, Zam Teta is called into the mission briefing room aboard the Starkiller's Pride.
"You called for me, Madam Starkiller?" says Zam.
"Yes I did, we are about to embark on a mission to free your home planet from the clutches of the Empire. Since you are the closest thing we have to an experienced 'beast rider', we thought you would be able to lead the assault below. As such, you will be promoted to the rank of Corporal." states Ivanova.
"Th-thank you, ma'am." responds Zam with surprise.

Admiral Hunter recieves a message from the Starkillers laying out the plan for his reference, since his troops will not be involved in the actual liberation. "Hmm," he muses. "Comms! Get me Marcus Starkiller. I'm going to see if he needs any extra landing craft."
"Yessir," the Communications Officer replies.

Marcus extends an offer for their new ex-Imperial allies to help free the planet. But the only way to keep from killing the ex-Imps with friendly fire is to have them mark their uniforms somehow or to wear their civilian cloths into combat.

Matt politely declines the generous offer, but counters with providing transport for the troops and Military Police units to help stabilize the situation once the fighting has moved on from an area. (OOC: Most of the troops are busy helping Damage Control efforts aboard Matt's SSD. Remember what I had Nova say about gastight doors and bulkheads having failed? Most of the DC personnel are trying to run down that fault, with the troops helping where and when they can.)

OOC: Alright.
IC: Marcus declines the offer for Imperial build transports, but in a kind way, saying they my be needed for 'spare parts'. And besides, the Starkiller's Pride houses 2 Bantha-class assault shuttles in it's larger hanger bays. And at least one of the Corellian corvettes will land planetside to help out. A squadron of Y-Wings will also join the assault, while X-Wings will provide cover fire.

Matt acknowledges, then returns to the arduous task of running down system failures and faults brought about by Dholen's ramming his flagship.

Marcus and Ivanova Starkiller dawn SpecOps commando armor and prepare to lead an assault of their own from land, while Zam Teta and the locals will take to the skies on the wings of the native beasts.

"Sir, General Starkiller has launched his assault," a junior officer says after delivering one of what seems like and endless stream of status reports about the numerous problems that have sprung up on Warrior since she was rammed.
"Good, keep me informed," Matt says, dismissing the young officer.
OOC: None of it is sabotage, by the way, just a lot of shock damage.

As soon as the Bantha-class assault shuttles touch down, they are fired upon by the Isard loyalists from the base. Marcus and Ivanova ignite their lightsabers and jump into battle.

Matt is watching a live feed of the ongoing battle via an overhead surveillance drone. He has the feed, delayed by about five minutes, transmitted throughout the ship, and the fleet.
(It certainly beats reading report after report about shipboard damage.)

Withing a period of two hours, the latest of the Isard loyalists is either dead or having surrendered.

"Huh... that was quick," Nova comments, startling her Admiral.
"Nova, how long have you been there?" Matt asks. "And what have I told you time and time again about startling me?"
"The entire time, and not to startle you," she replies, with an artfully innocent expression that doesn't fool anyone.
"You'll be the death of me yet, Nova," Matt mutters. Nova simply grins impudently.

OOC: Why would Isard care for Onderon? After that Imperial ordinance base was destroyed in 2 ABY, the Wookieepedia article implied that it became something of a backwater... until the time of the reborn Emperor.
