The war with the Yuuzhan Vong continues to be waged across the galaxy. Even now, Boba Fett has called for all Mandalorians to defend the homeworld and it's immedeate surroundings. The warriors, Jesic, Mirdala, Kandosi, and Salla are en route with the Ice Vixen, to the rally point, ready to send as many Vong as possible to their deaths.

Kandosi and Salla are busy in their quarters talking with eachother about family and what to do after the war. Meanwhile in the small medlab aboard the Ice Vixen, an antiquated IM-6 medical droid finishes installing a new cybernetic eye on Jesic to replace that which was lost at the hands of her former Vong captors.

Mirdala is there, with her mother. She is filled with mixed feelings. On one-hand she is glad her mother is now safe, and that her brother, Kandosi, has finally found a worthy mate. But, on the other hand, she is feeling lonely, for she herself remains single, not having found a special someone in her life. As the droid finishes, Mirdala feels the need to ask if the cybernetic eye is working, and if it meets with her mother's approval.
Mirdala: "So, mother, is the replacement eye meeting up to your expectations?

Mirdala: "When this war is over, we will be sure to get a better replacement for you."
Mirdala is reminded of her own mortality by her mother's cybernetic eye. Though her mother may have a legacy, in the form of her children, and Kandosi and Salla most likely soon to follow, Mirdala herself has no current legacy, other than her deeds. This constant reminder pains Mirdala quite a bit; enough so, that her mother can see that something is wrong.
ooc: I figure that Jesic could ask Mirdala what's wrong.

Mirdala: "Well, it's just that... I'm worried, about myself. Though I should be happy that my brother has found love, I am having feelings of inadequacy about myself. I'm worried that I may never find my special someone."

Mirdala awaits a response from her mother, hoping that it will be one of understanding.

Jesic smiles at her daughter and then heads to the cockpit to relieve RT-4G of it's piloting duties.
Jesic: RT, you are free to return to your normal duties.
RT-4G: Affirmative mistress.
The scratch built multi-purpose droid hovers out of the pilot seat and floats back to his earlier duty of repairing the lower gun turret.
Kandosi and Salla exit their shared quarters and take a seat near the dejarik holo-chess board.

The appearance of Concord Dawn is a welcomed sight to clan Hadar. Already, other ships could be seen ready to defend the planet from the marauding Vong.
ooc: I'm assuming most of the fighting will be on the surface of the planet.

ooc: Yes it will,but if you want, there could be some space combat at first (as in the Vong enter system from hyperspace.)

ooc: A brief space action scene would be okay with me.
As the Ice Vixen moves toward Concord Dawn, the Vong fleet arrives, but is not prepared to face such a large force of defenders. Surprised that Boba Fett's words did not appear to fall on deaf ears, the Vong forces are unsure of what to do. Some of them begin to fight, despite that being a bad idea. A small amount of plama fire can be seen being fired from the foolish Vong ships, only to be answered by large amounts of turbolaser fire.

With Jesic and Mirdala at the helm and the newly weds manning the now repaired gun turrets, the Ice Vixen is a threat to be reckoned with. Kandosi takes aim and opens fire on a nearby coralskipper fightercraft. The vong fighter launches a massive piece of molten slag at the Ice Vixen.

The Ice Vixen successfully dodges the attack, the red hot projectile speeding past the ship.
Meanwhile, the other defenders of the planet are giving the Vong hell. Concentraiting primary fire at the biggest vessel, it begins to buckle from the severe damage, and soon is destroyed. Many Vong troop transports attempt to land on the planet's surface, but most are blasted to bits. It is not a good time to be a Vong.

The Raging Mythosaur, a vessel belonging to a friend of Clan Hadar, is struck by one of the molten slag projectiles and is cut in half. Bodies can be seen cartwheeling into space.
Kandosi: May Greehan and his crew find peace in the afterlife.

While the Ice Vixen is blasting Vong coral skippers to bits, another vessel makes it's way to the planet's surface, engaging any Vong that get in it's way. Hoping to have gotten here earlier, the vessel's pilot hopes that there is still time to save her friends (her family having rejected her for who she was) on the planet, before the ground battle begins.
ooc: I figure this would be a good time to introduce Mirdala's future partner to the role-play.

The Ice Vixen engages a Vong troop ship head on and fires a pair of missiles at it. The Vong starship explodes, sending bits of black coral flying everywhere.
