The Jedi Temple on Coruscant, 32BBY…
The oldest of the Initiates are engaged in the Initiate Trials.
OOC: Marcus, I’m starting that new Jedi Temple RP that we’ve occasionally discussed. Kari, Marcus, and Ivanova are going to be involved.

OOC: Marcus and Ivanova wouldn't be in this RP because of the time it takes place, unless we change it to be after the Rebel Alliance took over Coruscant. Ivanova was born after the Clone Wars and Marcus, though serving in the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars wasn't aware that he was able to use the Force until after the formation of the Empire. That is why I am using Aurora Sunskimmer. She is the sister of Horkon Sunskimmer, both are relatively new knights at this point.

Kari is clearly having difficulties with the lightsaber sparring and is quickly eliminated from the round-robin tournament with the suggestion that she see the Reassignment Council within the next week or so to determine what her future is with the Order. “No,” Kari says, handing the training saber to the Knight running the tournament. “I clearly have no future in the Order.” She then doffs the Initiate’s uniform to reveal street clothes underneath and walks out of the Temple with no plan to ever return.

"I know that." Aurora states. "As you may know, Master Qui-Gon and I are very similar in our ways and are viewed by the Council as Gray Jedi. I want to teach you, even if you can never be a true Jedi, there are still other aspects of the Force that I can teach you."

"There is still promise within you, young Kari." Aurora states. "But if you truly wish to leave, I will not get in your way. But... take this. It has direct contact with my comlink. Should you ever need anything, contact me."
Aurora hands a small comlink to Kari.

Kari absently pockets the comlink before she walks away from the Jedi Temple that has been her home for as long as she can remember. “Now what do I do with myself?” she asks herself aloud as she walks, going deeper and deeper into Coruscant’s lower levels.

Kari shows that she knows what she’s doing with a blaster and sends the gang packing.
Ten years pass quietly for Kari in her repair shop. She’s gained a reputation for being able to fix just about anything and is actually relatively happy.

Aurora has trained a padawan in these ten years and today that padawan is to be knighted.

Kari has also figured out how to cut herself off from the Force and has done so quite deliberately, fulfilling her vow of ten years previously to have nothing more to do with the Force.

IC: Aurora smiles as her padawan steps forward into the Council Chamber to be knighted. The council members surround them with their lightsaber hilts in hand.
OOC: How about you create Aurora's soon to be former padawan? I am going to have Yoda cut off their padawan braid like what happened to Anakin in the Clone Wars micro series.
